just dropping in....
I used to post on this support site before the big O.H. switch and am just now taking the time to wander around and find you again! I've missed everyone.
Reintroduction: I am 4 years post-op (proximal Rny) in just a couple of weeks. I lost about 140 pounds initially and have regained about 20 pounds to put me at about 150. I'm not a bit happy about that and have looked into a revision. I have been working for over a year and a half for Dr. Terry Simpson here in Phoenix. He's a LapBand surgeon. He was going to do a revision to LapBand on me but but insurance did not approve it and having him do it for free would have involved too much of a future committment from me. ....Sooooo, I quite working for him on Jan 1st and am looking forward to having some changes in my life....... I'm kicking off the year with a big surgery the end of the month that I've been postponing forever but have needed ......it will be great to get that over with and then I can focus on the job search. I will most likely work with another Bariatric program.
My hubby also had surgery and has had a bit of regain too but is still within his "healthy BMI" range! We have enjoyed doing this journey together!
anyway.....just wanted to check in and see what was up with everyone. ..... wishing you all a healkthy New Year!!

Joyce, so glad you found us again.
Are you going to your support group. They might be able to give you the support you need to find out why the weight gain. My support group offers a "back on track" program to help us maintain the weight we worked so hard to lose and help us get back on the right track.
Glad you found us.

Melody,
Would you mind sharing how they operate the "back on track" program? I attend a peer facilitated support group (non specific program that I run) and have considered adding another feature like a "back on track" night or something.
I'm considering Weigh****chers or Jenny Craig or some such thing for the accountability. I'm also considering getting my Personal Trainer's Certification so that I am forced to LIVE in the gym!!!
Joyce
Joyce, I, personally, am not involved in the Back on Track program. But I searched the internet and found some information on it. I typed in BariatricSupportCenters in search and the BSC International group is one of the choices. In that site there is a tab at the top (I think the third row down) that specifically says "Back on Track". I know that there are some in my support group that have been doing the back on track program with great results. I guess it re-teaches you how to treat your pouch and how to eat right.
Good luck. Sorry I'm no more help than that.
Melody
