I did it again. I made it to church. Whoo-hoo!
Bishop Horning and his wife are coming over every saturday to help us with our finances. He being the bishop and his wife being a financial wizard are seeing how we can get ourselves financially stable. Plus it's really nice to have someone from church coming over and visiting with us. They are so nice and so loving. They are a couple around our age so it's great that they "get it" about trying to raise a family on what we make.
There is more going on about church and my husband right now. But I will save that for another post. I just wanted to let you all know that I am still trying.
Thanks so much for your support and prayers. Please keep it coming. We need it! And remember that my prayers are with each of you also.
love,
Tammy
Good going Tammy, Sounds like you are on the right track.
I also wanted you to know that you are in my prayers by name, every morning and every night. I'm going to the temple on the 25th of this month and will add your name to the temple prayer list.
I'm proud of you Tammy. I was inactive for about 15 years. I know the courage it takes to walk into the church and become active again (at least for me it did). All the fears that my mind conjered up about how I thought people would look at me and treat me were totally fictitious and unreal. I was greeted like I'd never missed a single week. It made it easier and easier to go back. Since I have been back (about 13 years now), I've been to the temple and have made some wonderful friends. The support is overwhelming.
I now make it a point to go out of my way and welcome any new faces to church that I may not know. It's good to be on the giving end again. As well as on the receiving end of the priesthood blessings.

Melody,
Thanks so much for all you do for me. I really appreciate it.
This summer we are going to Boise and we are going to stop at the Shoshone Falls with the kids. We haven't been to the falls since Josh was a baby and he's 7 now. Andy and Kayden have never even seen it and I'm sure Gavin and Josh doesn't even remember it.
Thanks for including us on the temple prayer roll. Don't forget to add Chad's name to. He's having a hard time with his testimony (more then I) and I worry about him. He isn't against the church, just struggling spiritually because of all the turmoil we have had both with the church (old bishop in old ward...new ward and bishop GREAT!), finances, and my health issues.
Tammy
