Mormon for President

I am just curious on anyone feelings towards Mitt Romney running for President? I haven't decided yet still mulling it over. I am wondering if this might be a sign of the times for the 2nd coming? Anyone care to share their opinions? Kathy

As there was talk a few years ago of him doing this, it of course made a lot of people wonder about this particular scenario. Frankly, I think it's way too soon to tell. As to the last days aspect of your question, I have always thought that would come about in a little different manner, perhaps through a righteous Jewish man or some such. Just my own thinking. I suspect we will not see it happen in a 'obvious' way when it does happen. But again all conjecture. Perhaps the connection will be something more subtle. Linda W.

I think it would be wonderful to have a priesthood holder as President of the United States. Unfortunately there is still a feeling of so many people "Hating" the mormons that his chances are slim. On the subject of the next president, Hiliary Clinton has made her announcement that she is going for the run for president. I think this evilness and lack of morals might signal the times for the 2nd coming far more so than a priesthood holder being president. Melody You asked for opinions - you got mine.

I think things are going to get a lottttt worse before Christ returns. We are barely seeing the worst of it. Mitt Romney would make a wonderful president. He has been a very good governor. He did wonders with the Olympics when they were in Salt Lake. I agree with Melody that Hillary is worst of all...but that might be the very reason she will get in. The public has such a short memory and they are tending to vote for the worst people. I think all the evil in this world is just accelerating and as much as I pray for a reverse, I'm not expecting it. All I can say is get prepared for some very hard times. Christy

Given that the past presidents, both dem and rep are busy trashing each other, I feel that a mormon in the white house is a good thing. Or it could be...I sure don't want someone the likes of Hillary Clinton in the hot seat. I just don't think that we are ready for a woman president, and I don't think her morals are good for our country. That's how I feel about it. Besides, Romney is getting a lot of press for being mormon. And that is going to be a hot issue in this election. I don't think that the country is ready for an LDS president. Maybe someday.
