I am slowly finding out all the wonderful things that this site has to offer, such as the Mormon Fourm. I had my surgery on 7/14/03 and as to date I have lost 92 pounds. Hey Elizabeth, how are you doing? It has been awhile. I hope that all is well with you. I am looking forward to hearing from other members about there journey. Mine has been wonderful.

Amy - I just found this Mormonism forum today. Several others were new to it today too, I think it would be fun for those that have visited this forum in the past to check it more regularly and maybe we can really have a nice back and forth chat. Melody

Good Morning Melody, Yes, we do need to check the forum more often. I have not been on obesity.com for a long time. My children have me running in so many directions. I teach as well, but that will soon be coming to an end for the summer. To date I have taken off 113 pounds and I have gone from a size 28 to a size 14. I never thought I would see those numbers again. Now I am hoping to maybe hit a 8 or a 10. I am really looking forward to our Young Womens camp this year. I will be able to keep up with the best of them. When I went last year I was only 4 weeks post op. Take care and I hope to hear from you again soon. Amy

I remember the days of girls camp. Let me share a camp song with you your girls might enjoy. Sing to the tune of "Popcorn Popping on the Apricot Tree" I looked out the window and what did I see? Tall dark and handsome returned missonaries Spring has brought me such a nice surprise Tall dark and handsome right before my eyes I could take an armfull and choose all three but only one for eternity It wasn't really so but it seemed to me Tall dark and handsome returned missionaries. When is your girls camp? Ours is in July. The girls really have to rough it. Living off the land almost. No luxuries. Have a pleasant month. Melody

I will have to remember this song for camp. We have camp in the middle of August. We hold it at a Boys Scout camp. We sleep in the old fashion flap tents, but we have a big dinning hall with hired cooks. Yes, we are pampered. Next year will be different. The Church just purchased property right on Seneca Lake here in New York. Not to far from palmyra(about 120 acres) They are building cabins and a very large mess hall. We will even have flush toilets. I grew up in Utah where we had to build our own bathroom and not a picnic table in site. These girls in New York are very pampered, but I have to admitt, as I get older those cabin are really inviting. I am tired of hearing the girls scream because of skunks and bears that roam threw the camps at night. Take care and we will chat soon. Amy
