Fasting
Hi Sharon,
I am 17 months post op and down 192 pounds. As far as fasting goes it is a medical necissity that you make sure to get in all your protein and water every day. For me I we have an early morning Sacrament and I usually dont eat before I leave the house on any day (I have had continuous complications since the beginning) but I always have a bottle of water with me. I would say test yourself see how your body reacts to fasting for one meal, have a snack of something with you just in case. Consider yourself to be a diabetic they shouldn't fast because it can really cause medical problems. Hope this helps and isn't just babbling! Congratulations on your weight loss....Take Care Kimberlee
HI Sharon
I just had my surgery on 4/23...so I'm a newby at this. But in answer to your question here's my opinion. My husband is Hypoglycemic and has to eat every two hours. His FAST is to do the other things that go along with the fast. Have a purpose for your fast, dedicate time to studying the scriptures and have a gift of yourself in your heart for what you are fasting for. I don't think I will be able to fast for a long time if ever so I know what you are going thru. Don't know if any of this helped but hope you are doing well and CONGRATULATIONS on your success!!
Take care!!
