Looks like we need to get board active again!!!!

I was so glad to find this site. I am 54 and my bmi is 74, so I am in great need of surgery. I don't have a job in church right now because it is to hard for me to get around, I am hoping that after surgery I will be able to have a calling. I have a surgery date of June 25. I am going to Mexico to get it done. My insurance will not cover it and I can't wait any longer. I want to have a life and not jus****ch every one else. And I see this as my only chance. I have prayed and fasted and this was my answer. I would love to have someone of my own faith to talk to that understands how I feel.................Thanks for listening.....Peggy

Peggy, I wish you the very best. Sounds like your prayers will be answered. Heavenly Father will bless you and watch over all your needs. I feel that you will be a success in losing your weight. I am scheduled for lap band surgery July 5th. I had prayed and searched for a successful method for weight loss. A cousin visited us and told me that another faimily member had wls and had lost 50 pounds in 4 months. I began researching and found a docter in my hometown. My insurance approved the surgery and a date set. I work full time and had to find a time to take off work. E-mail me any time you want to talk. Susie

Hi Peggy - Good luck going to Mexico. Share you experience. I'm curious how that works. What you do about followups, etc.. I just found this forum today. I'm going to check this community forum every day now. I'm hoping that it will become very active. I'm a talker and I'd LOVE to share feelings with fellow saints. Melody

Going to Mexico sounds like a great idea if your insurance wont cover things - good luck and keep us up to date! -Sherrie
