Is any one else writing letters to their family, I have all the faith in the world that everything will be ok. But we all know that when you have surgery any kind of surgery anything can happen. So I have decided this would be a good time to let my family know I love them. But my problem is that I have 7 children, 6 grandchildren, 1 husband, 5 daughter in laws, 1 son in law, 1 brother, 1 father, and one favorite niece to write too. And since everyone is different, They are not easy to write. I have amost a month till surgery and I think it is going to take that long to get them all written!!!!! It has taken me a week to write 4 all ready, It is so much work, I am thinking of mailing them to everyone even if I make it. AND I AM SURE I WILL Peggy

Peggy, I would write to my family if they were so spread out. Let them know what is going on and how you are feeling. Keep them close as possible. It is important to have family and friends together during this time. The company is so soothing and needed. Donna Seamon

Peggy, I considered writing a letter to my family. I was going to place one letter under my computer keyboard on my desk. I was going to put the letter there because I knew that the only way it would be found was if something happened and I didn't make it through the surgery. I knew that in cleaning off my desk the letter would be found. This letter was going to be a generic letter to everyone telling them how much I loved them and then bearing my testimony of the gospel of Jesus Christ. I had good intentions but I felt so good about my having my surgery that I didn't get it written. Instead I spoke to each of my family members and bore my testimony. I told each of them how much I loved them and told them that if I didn't make it through surgery I was comfortable with that consequence. I understand your feelings of wanting to write to your family. Everyone enjoys getting a letter from a loved one telling them how much they are loved. Good luck with your surgery Peggy. It will be here before you know it. Melody

I wrote a letter to my ADULT family members regarding my wishes if something dire were to happen to me due to surgical complications. I didn't want my husband to have to deal with that at all. I don't expect any problems personally, I don't have major co-morbidities...so I'm going to get a blessing and trust in the Lord. Tracey
