What is your funniest or most rewarding WLS moment?

I mean, like crossing your legs, losing your slip, something cool or funny? I had a funny one recently - - I went grocery shopping, and had just emptied my cart into my car when the cart started heading straight for another car - I ran and caught it and put it in the cart corral. when I went back to my car, my 8 year old said "wow, mom, I didnt know you could run!! I've never seen you run before! And you aren't even breathing hard!" I hadn't even thought about it until he said something! What is a WLS moment you have had that you would like to share? -Sherrie

Hi Sherrie - I haven't experienced anything remarkable YET but I just wanted to say hi. My surgery was 3-8-04 and as of today I've lost 50 lbs. My surgery date was close to yours. How much weight have you lost so far? Melody

so far I've dropped 75 lbs -yay!!!! -Sherrie

My funniest moment actually happened yesterday. I've lost 61 lbs since my surgery but still try to get away with wearing some of my old skirts. I have one skirt imparticular that I love and desided to wear it yesterday. It could have used a safty pin but was made of a material that would have looked terrible gathered. So, I just took my chances and wore it to church. Later, my son (who'll be four next week) ran up to me and grabbed onto my skirt and down it went. I'm just glad I was wearing a slip. Needless to say we were all laughing pretty hard and my son discovered a way to get mommy back for turning off the t.v.

I'm so new...only nine days post op and still soooo sore....but yesterday I got into a pair of pants I couldn't wear pre-op. The waist band was a bit sore, but they fit. Whoo hoo.....11 lbs. gone...... not such a big deal, but that's all I have to give..haha Tracey
