Where is everybody?

I just got back from seeing Spiderman 2 with the fam - good movie. And my butt fit in the seat nicely now! I just wanted to say hello to everyone - what has everyone been doing? Lets get some conversation going! -Sherrie

Hi Sherrie, My surgery was on March 8th of this year. Just a few days after yours. My weight loss is slow compared to a lot of people. I've lost 62 pounds. I've lost 62 lbs and was still wearing the same dresses and the same blouses. I've gone down 2 sizes of jeans and I had only had one pair that I would take off at night, wash and put on clean the next morning. My family has been hounding me about getting smaller clothes. Clothes that fit. Well, today I dug out a really big box out of the closet with clothes I haven't been able to wear for 6 years. I went through every single item. I was thrilled to find a whole closet worth of blouses that fit! As well as 6! pair of jeans that fit now and 2 more the next size down. I also found 4 new dresses for church! We cleared out the entire closet of clothes that were too huge. My closet went from being full - emptied out (getting rid of the big clothes) - to being full again (full of the newer sized clothes). In one day I went from a size 24 dress to a size 18! Size 3X blouses to size 18-20. This obviously didn't occur in one day but I feel like it did because I wore all these too big clothes and in one day dropped the sizes to ones that fit. Now maybe I'll start FEELING like I'm losing the weight. Tell me how you are doing. I'm interested in hearing from others whose surgery date was close to mine. Melody

I have lost 95 lbs so far - it was 97 now its 95 cause I put on weight this week - (I think Im pmsing). I have gone from a size 34 to a size 20 - it feels so wonderful to wear a 20 - almost a normal size - just a few sizes away, anyway!! I have been an emotional wreck this week since Ive gained 2 lbs back so close to the century mark. I wanted to get there so bad this week! Well, I will get there when I get there. It took me 17 years to get up to a size 34 from a size 20, took me 4 months to get down to a 20, and I expect miracles to get down to goal by next week - LOL... I am impatient!! -Sherrie
