Enrichment night and food

I spoke with our RS President about the subject of sugary food. I didn't complain about it not being fair or anything like that but think I was gentle and subtle. She said she had noticed how many women didn't partake the other night. She hadn't made the connection that sugar may have been the reason. There are many elderly women in our ward who have to watch the carbs. She thanked me profusely and said they would see what they could do. I explained that special things weren't necessary but just a choice or two for everyone. Even if it was just a few veggies to munch. We also discussed that some of the sisters, who are interested, may like to make things like a low carb cheesecake or something. Since I have been having to watch what I eat, I am surprised at how many others are watching what they and their families eat. It is interesting. Well, thanks for all the input. Grins, Kaye

You did something that not many people would have done. You spoke up! Your R.S. president had probably never thought about it before. By speaking up and making her aware I'm sure that more sisters will partake of the refreshments when the changes are made. Way to go girl - you did good. Melody
