Hi all I came up with some questions to throw at ya'll. I love getting to know people and this is such a fun and wonderful way to do it I am so glad that Gala started it. 1. If you could have any job for one day just to see what it was like what would it be? 2. If you could go anywhere in the world for vacation where would it be. 3. If you could speak to any Prophet who would it be and why. 4. If you could choose the century you lived in what would you choose. 5. What scripture comes to your mind when you need it the most...whats your favorite scripture. That should keep us busy for a few minutes...and here's my answers 1. I would like to know what it would be like to be a model..haha I've never been a vain person cause I just don't have the looks but I would like to know what those women go through for just one day. 2. I work for an airline and I do travel as often as I can. I love to go anywhere there is an ocean or there are mountains. I want someday though to go to Austria and see the spot where Julia Andrews sang "The hills are alive with the sound of Music"... Someday I'm gonna get there 3. The Prophet that has touched my heart the most is Pres. Kimball. He was the Prophet when I joined the church and I was always so very inspired by him. I would love to just sit and visit with him. I was so excited when the Priesthood was allowed to be given to all worthy male members and I would love to ask Pres. Kimball about the day he received confirmation that it was time for that to take place. 4. I think I would have to say that I am glad I live now. The amazing things that are in our world today is just astounding. I sat with my elderly Mother before she passed away and we compared what we had seen in our lives come to pass. It was a lot of fun. For her it was the radio , tv, medicines that saved lives, cars, vacuum, washer/dryer etc..for me it was things like the man on the moon, laser surgery, cell phones and the like. 5. My favorite scripture is in Doctrine and Covenants 98:12 Line upon line precept upon precept. When I was taking the discussions I was temporarily living in Provo with my friend that had fellowshipped me and just learning about the Church and of course everyone around me for the most part had been members their whole lives. I was very shy then and also feeling very dumb when it came to knowledge of the scriptures and what being LDS was all about. My dear friend sensed this and came to me one evening her scriptures in hand and read this scripture to me and it brought me so much peace that I have treasured it ever since. Well you got the long winded version of Alfie today Hope everyone has a great day Alfie

1. If you could have any job for one day just to see what it was like what would it be? I have had many jobs over the last ten yrs. Anywhere from Portrait Studio Manager to Bus Driver to Managing group homes with Adults who have disabilities. But the one thing that I would LOVE to do. And if I didn't have such a hard time w/learning AKA Math I would go back to school to be a Therapist. I LOVE the 2 that I have had. And I would love to work with the PARENTS of children w/Reactive Attachment Disorder/Bipolar ect. The therapists that have worked w/my son have been of more help to "me" than him. 2. If you could go anywhere in the world for vacation where would it be. I don't really know. Maybe to Disney Land/World or better yet on a Disney Cruise for a week. 3. If you could speak to any Prophet who would it be and why. I don't know the prophets all that well. I would have to say all of them! 4. If you could choose the century you lived in what would you choose. Now... 5. What scripture comes to your mind when you need it the most...whats your favorite scripture. I don't know if this is an actual scripture but more of a "saying" I am sure it is int he scriptures somewhere though. "I never said it would be easy. Just worth it". As we face the fact that Corry will 99% surely never return home, the fact that the state may terminate our parental rights. It is very easy to think "why me. why did I do this." And in my moments of "acceptance not denial" of what is going on. I can remember this phrase and be comforted by it.

1. If you could have any job for one day just to see what it was like what would it be? I would be a philanthropist, giving money to everyone that needed it (assuming that I was given the resources to do this job for one day!!) 2. If you could go anywhere in the world for vacation where would it be. Israel 3. If you could speak to any Prophet who would it be and why. Spencer W Kimball - he gave me a blessing as a baby that saved my life and I would love to thank him personally and shake his hand 4. If you could choose the century you lived in what would you choose. I would want to live now - I like my electricity and computer. I wouldnt do well with a handcart. Of course, though, morbid obesity wouldnt have been a problem... 5. What scripture comes to your mind when you need it the most...whats your favorite scripture. My favorite scripture is the ENTIRE book of Alma. The thing that comes to mind when I need it most is the story of the Striplint Warriors - if they could be so incredibly strong, I can make it through whatever trials I face.

. If you could have any job for one day just to see what it was like what would it be? I would be a mortician. Sounds kind of eerie but I've always been sorry that I didn't pursue that when I was younger. I've always wanted to be a mortician. 2. If you could go anywhere in the world for vacation where would it be. I think I'd like to go to Alaska. My sister lived there for 6 years and absolutely loved it. 3. If you could speak to any Prophet who would it be and why. I would speak to our current prophet Gordon B. Hinkley because he has made such an impact on the world today. 4. If you could choose the century you lived in what would you choose. I would live right now, in this day and age. 5. What scripture comes to your mind when you need it the most...whats your favorite scripture. 3 Nephi 12:16 "Therefore let your light so shine before this people, that they may see your good workds and glorify your Father who is in heaven.

1. If you could have any job for one day just to see what it was like what would it be? Well, I am currently a Criminal Justice major in college, so I would love to be a crime scene investigator or an investigator of any kind really. Especially the old cases. 2. If you could go anywhere in the world for vacation where would it be. This is a toughie. We really want to go to Navuoo to see the church historical sites. 3. If you could speak to any Prophet who would it be and why? You mean I have to pick ONE?! Oh, ok. Well, for me it would have to be Pres. Kimball. There are so many questions that I would want to ask him. I would also like to talk to Brigham Young. The things I could learn from him. 4. If you could choose the century you lived in what would you choose. Probably the last one, especially during the 1950's. The music was great! 5. What scripture comes to your mind when you need it the most...whats your favorite scripture. James 1:5 If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God..... I Nephi 3:7 I will go and do what the Lord hath commanded....... Thanks for this. Donna

Hi! Here goes. 1. Probably an archeologist. 2. Either the British Isles or should I say Western, or maybe Greece or Australia. 3. I would be happy to speak to any prophet and hear him say something to just me. But it seems it would be fun to spend some time with Pres. Hinckley as he has such a sense of humor! When he came to announce that we were getting a temple, he teased us greatly. He kept saying that IF you get a temple. Never announced that we were. He was so cute, the way he said it. Then the next day the church announced that he had announced it in a meeting with the saints etc. I was in that meeting 2 rows in front of him. He NEVER said we were getting one just IF but he said that many times in a teasing way. 4.I sometimes thing I would like to live in the 19th century but I suspect I chose to live now. 5.I always think of John 14. "1. Let not your heart be troubled, ye believe in God, believe also in me! 2, In my Fathers house are many mansions; if it were not so I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. 3. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you unto myself, that where I am, there ye may be also." ... I am getting carried away. The whole chapter is important to me. Including verse 27 "Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid." I used to read this to my mother from the time I learned to read, to reading it at her funeral. Good questions. Grins, Kaye

1. If you could have any job for one day just to see what it was like what would it be? A: Mmmm, I would be a movie star, as long as I get the pampering and full run of their home for a day! Or, I would be Santa. He's fat and happy with it and only works one day a year. Nice deal! 2. If you could go anywhere in the world for vacation where would it be. A: I would go EVERYWHERE! I would travel around the entire world (but we would spend a little extra time in Switzerland, Austria, and Germany for my hubby). 3. If you could speak to any Prophet who would it be and why. A: I'm torn between Joseph Smith and Alma the Younger. But I would be happy talking to ANY prophet. 4. If you could choose the century you lived in what would you choose. A: I'm pretty happy here and now. If I didn't have to stay there I'd choose the 1800's. 5. What scripture comes to your mind when you need it the most...whats your favorite scripture. A: I have so many that are always rotating through my head. My all time favorite might be Mosiah 2: 17 "And behold, I tell you these things that ye may learn wisdom; that ye may learn that when ye are in the service of your fellow beings ye are only in the service of your God." I loved reading all your responses. This is great! Thanks for this one, Alfreda!

1. If you could have any job for one day just to see what it was like what would it be? I would be a mortician and observe an autopsy....I was offered an apprenticeship a year ago, but my hubby really vetoed it, it totally creeped him out......haha 2. If you could go anywhere in the world for vacation where would it be. Italy, Italy, Italy.....my previous stepkids all went there for their missions, and as I studied it I fell in love......we plan to go there after the kids grow up, but my husband is thinking a 2 week trip...I recently told him he's welcome to return in 2 weeks....but I plan to rent a villa and stay 3 months, until I'm good and ready to call it quits. He said, "oh, there's no way I'll leave you surrounded by a bunch of handsome Italians...." haha 3. If you could speak to any Prophet who would it be and why. My first reaction was Pres. Kimball.....but I would love to speak to Joseph Smith, or actually, I would love to speak to Emma, and know her better. I think she's rarely given the credit she deserves for all the support and trials she endured to her husband. 4. If you could choose the century you lived in what would you choose. Though I am facinated with pioneer lore, I would hate to live it. What hardships. I like living now.....it's very facinating, and women have every opportunity to do and be what we want. We are allowed an education, unheard of in most cultures, and in few points of history. 5. What scripture comes to your mind when you need it the most...whats your favorite scripture. Judge not.....lest ye be judged......
