Trudi, Congratulations on your date! That's exciting. I wore my garments there but kept them safely tucked away during the hospital stay. I didn't wear them during. I did wear them on my way home though. There are too many people pulling, poking, and checking to keep the sanctity of the garments. That and you could bleed through and stain your garments. I had to buy new garments last month because mine were so ridiculously big on me. It's so nice to be in something that fits but I still think I'll have to buy a couple more pair before the weight loss comes to an end. Good luck and keep talking to us. We love it and you'll need it! Hydi

This is a pretty good question. Here is my question, our Stake president has always told us that if we were going to a doctors appointment where we would be "exposing" our garments, then it is better to leave them home, and change as soon as possible into them. I would think - going into the hospital for surgery would be one of those times?? what are your thoughts.

Congratulations on your surgery date Trudi. The 20th will be here before you know it. I wore my garments to the hospital and then took them off when I got to the hospital in pre-op and changed into my hospital gown. I did not wear then during the hospital stay (too may tubes, people probing, looking and changing bandaging) but I put them back on when I was discharged and dressing for home. My garments have always been a comfort for me (physically and spirtually) and yes they were comfortable afterward. I wear the two piece and I think they are a lot more comfortable after surgery than having to wear "normal" other people underwear. Let us know how you are doing. We're here to answer questions and give you advice if wanted. Melody

Trudi, First of all, congratulations on your date. As far as garments go, I didn't wear my G's to the hospital. I have always been told to wear regular underwear to the DR etc, as others would be in a position to see them. They are sacred. When I returned home, I did wear them. However, I was given a binder to wear and if I wore my top under it, the material made creases in my skin and if I wore it over, the binder, the top would get twisted and caught in the binder. But for the most part, they were very comfortable, especially after I stopped wearing the binder. (But I have a very short waistline and that is why my binder kept rolling up. You will have to find what works for you. But I would definately not wear them to or at the hospital. I finally ordered new ones as mine keep falling off. This is a good thing! lol Good luck and remember to get a blessing. Grins, Kaye

Hey, I wore mine to and from the hospital, and every day since. My garments are as much a part of me as my skin so I always wear them everywhere. If someone sees them dosen't matter to me and has actually been a missionary tool. To "why do you wear those?" or similar questions are answered simply "they are to remind me of the promises/covenants I made to God." Best wishes on your surgery and health and happiness to your family from Gordon
