Tuesday Talk
I hope that everyone is doing good today. I wanted to post a little something.
Question: What do you miss the most since WLS?
I guess for me it's the sweets...you know, cake and cookies. Especially Oreos Love those. But I am slowing down on my eating and doing better at keeping things down.
If you could ask Pres. Hinckley a question, what would you ask?
For me, it would be to find out the Lord's plan for me. Call me nosy, but I would want a few more answers.
Went to the doctor last week, he said that I have lost 36# and the 40 before was due to the dehydration I suffered. But, I am doing good. Walking a little more each day and it feels good. Was able to go 3 ft. in my house without a walker or anything! I got bragging rights!
Also, anyone have thoughts on conference? What I caught of it, was very spritiual and the talks were great. I thought the prophet looked good for his age and health. It was good to hear from them.
If you have not seen the movie, The Other Side of Heaven, Wal-mart has it and it is good. It is the story of Elder Groberg and his mission to Tonga. Walt-Disney put it out and it is good. I am so glad that the church is getting the exposure that it needs and deserves.
Well, enough for now, later everyone. I am at school and I need to get to a class for some make up work.
Donna
p.s. I wish they had some lds emotioncons.
Hi Donna! Congrats on the weight loss progress. Feels good doesn't it?
You have earned the bragging rights for being able to walk (even if it's only 5 feet). Baby steps Donna, baby steps.
About conference - it was great! I think the best part of conference for me was the Saturday morning session where the prophet announced the new temples. He announced one for Twin Falls, Idaho. That's in my neighborhood!!!! I was listening to conference at home on the internet and I screamed when it was announced and it scared my little girls and they started to cry. Of course I was crying too, not from being scared but from the excitement of the temple announcement.
I thought the prophet looked like he had aged 10 years since the last conference six months ago. I became concerned for his health. I know the prophet's in his 90's but he's always been 90 going on 40. This time he really looked his age. It looked to me like it's been rough since he lost his wife.
The owners of our local movie theater are LDS and in our ward and they showed the movie "The Other Side of Heaven" for a ward function a few years back. It was very good. I enjoyed it.
It's good to read that you're doing so well. I think about you often - I'm just too lazy to pick up the phone and dial your number. I still can't tell you apart from Vickie (ha ha) she could probably carry on a whole conversation with me and I would never know I wasn't talking to you.
Have a good week at school.
Melody
Sorry about answering Tuesday's question on Thursday but I've been running around like crazy the last couple days. Leaving for WA tomorrow. Hurray!
Question: What do you miss the most since WLS?
Being able to gorge myself on ANYTHING and not feel sick or guilty about it. And, not noticing when I gain 10 lbs. (sad, but true)
If you could ask Pres. Hinckley a question, what would you ask?
What the worst thing he's ever done is.
Sounds like you're doing great, Donna. I'm happy to hear that!
