Urologist feels there is no need to do further testing at this point. The urachial cyst on my bladder doesn't have to be removed. The radiologist put in her report that "removal is the reccomended form of treatment". However, Dr. Hahnfeld didn't say a word about removing it. She peeked around and sent me on my way saying "Just looks like you are one of those people that don't pee very much" So that is a relief. I didn't have to have the cystoscopy because she did'nt feel it was warranted. Thank Heaven. I feel as though there is a burning fire cracker in there right now. The lidocaine wore off before I had to finally pee. My PCP called today to say that the ultrasound of my liver did show a "form" of a cyst. I can't even begin to spell it so I am not going to try - but basically she said it is like people/children who are born with birth mark that comes out of the skin and has a bump. She said the radiologist reccom. I have a follow up ultrasound in 3-6 months and have liver functioning tests now and at that time also. So good news there too. I got a little flustered and didn't think to ask Dr. Hahnfeld what her thoughts were on the bladder infections. However, when I told my PCP that she said her thinking is most likely from the cyst. And if they continue than we would need to consult further w/treatment. Dr. Hahnfeld also said that absolutely no one should straight cath me except herself or someone from her office. If I continue to have the bladder spasms from not going to come back. Last night I was in such gut wrenching pain I was doubled over for about 5 hrs. The pain came on so quickly I didn't know what hit me. And it left just as fast. I had not ate anything for 2-3 hrs before so I know it wasn't anything I had ate. Anyway, just thought I would share some "good news" for once. Gala

It's about time you got some good news, it sounds like your prayers have really been answered. I know that you were dreading surgery. Did you have the pain the same day you had all the testing and procedures done? I wonder if it was just your body's way of rebelling. I'm sorry that you've had to experience more pain and discomfort. No surgery though is good news. Thanks for sharing. Melody
