For anyone feeling like their weight loss is on the slow side or just stopped all together, I've got a tip for you. Eat Dairy - milk, cottage cheese, yogurt, cheese, string cheese. Eat 3 servings of dairy a day. When we are "dieting" our bodies are in a survival type mode where it does anything it can to prevent us from starving. We have to break our bodies of that mode. (yes, our bodies consider our weight loss surgery a starvation situation and a diet situation and it's fighting to maintain for our survival). Milk and cheese have the necessary fat in them to satisfy our bodies and let our bodies start allowing us to lose the weight. Try it. See if those scales will move for you if you. Another hint. Carb Countdown brand milk is WONDERFUL. Tastes just like regular milk with extra protein and less carbs. It's a little more expensive but it's good stuff. Melody -95

Melody, Few years ago I was on a liquid protein diet supervised by a dr in another town. I did loose about 40 lbs or so. Towards the end of me being on this diet he began a "dairy study". The results were very simliar to what you described.. Thanks for the reminder. Gala

Hi Dear friend Thanks for the advice. I certainly never would have thought of that. I have been in a bad plato mode for the last 3 weeks. Nothing happening..kind of scary. I know I'll have those times but sure don't like them. I'm going to watch this week and add more dairy as you suggested and see what happens. We had our monthly support group meeting this past saturday and it was really good. I always enjoy being there and I surprise myself at how eager I am to talk to the people who are there researching for themselves information on the surgery. I just remember how I felt trying to put it all together. Have a great week. Alfie
