First time in temple since my Sealing...

Hey Everyone, I just wanted to pop in and say that I am going back to the temple for the first time since I was sealed to my family 3.5 years ago. I have had my recommend almost this whole time, I just have never been. The biggest part has been that of feeling unworthy. I have been having marriage problems and when I spoke with my Bishop, he asked when the last time was I was at the temple and I think he almost fell out of his chair! I told him about my unworthy feelings, but when he asked me some questions about it, he helped my realize that I was worthy. He seemed almost confused at why I felt that way. He is such a great man, he really helped me out a lot that night. So, its off to the temple tomorrow with the ward, and then again next weekend with the RS. I go in for surgery on 04 Feb and thought what better place to spend my last weekend than at the temple. I really wish this forum was a bit more active. I think we could do a lot of good helping each other out. I know I really struggled with making this decision. If I had known about this board I think it would have really helped in the process. I'm just glad I know about it now and know that I can come here and feel welcome and be able to express my feelings and thoughts with people that have the same values I do. Hi Bren. I'm looking forward to your contribution to this forum and helping it be more active. We kind of go through spurts where we visit a lot and other times when we go a whole month and not much is said. Your surgery date will be here before you know it and you've got a great attitude about spending your days before surgery in the temple. I listened to a talk once from our mission president's wife. She reminded us how excited we all were when one of our family members came home for a visit. She said that is the way our Heavenly Father feels everytime one of His children come home (to the temple) to visit. Good luck on your temple trips and on your upcoming journey. Melody 260/150/135

congratulations on going back to the Temple!! I, too, would like to make the board more active. I am in need of spiritual support a lot these days. My husband and I were sealed in the temple in 1988. We separated 6 months after than, then recociled. However, after 19 years of marriage. Lots of hurts, lots of baggage. We have been separated for 18 months. We have 3 boys, ages 9,,10,, and 19. Our 19 year old just got his mission call!! I wasnt sure it was ever going to happen! I am sad that our family isnt together during this time. However, I am thrilled and excited that he decided to go on his mission.
