Hi everyone!!

Hey, I know I said I thought this board should be more active...then look at me, I haven't posted in over a month!! Sorry about that. After my surgery I didn't even get on the boards for probably 2 weeks. Then I would just get on and read the posts that sparked my interest from the main board. I hope all is going well in all your lives. My husband is coming back tomorrow after being gone for 2.5 weeks on a training exercise for the Army. I really missed him and will be glad he is home. Two weeks is just enough to miss him but not so long that we start living without him and he comes home and messes up all our routines! It doesn't matter what state our relationship is in before he leaves, I can reassure myself of our love for each other while he is gone. It may take a few weeks, but I always miss him and can't wait for him to get home. Unfortunately, that feeling only lasts a few weeks to, before I'm ready for him to be gone again!! Anyways, I just wanted to pop my head in and say hi to everyone. My surgery went great. No complications and no pain. I was home a day early and out grocery shopping that afternoon. I went to the ward V-day dance at 8 days post-op. I was pretty sore the next morning, but it was worth it. I am down almost 30# in 5 weeks. I've hit a bit of a stall this last week, but I'm not worried. I have read that a lot of people have this. I have started on regular foods, but not yet started with my exercise. Bad me!! Bren - welcome back to the boards. Congratulations on your first 30#. I know that for me I didn't think I would ever get to the point where I am at today (-122# and 1 year post op). I felt like such a light weight in the weight loss for the longest time. Give it time Bren. The weight WILL come off. Don't forget to check your closet often or you'll find that you've outshrunk your clothes. Have a wonderful week and enjoy your DH. Melody
