found a new protein meal idea

The other day I was in Costco and couldn't resist the samples. I just love going to Costco and trying their samples because it's a whole meal for me. I get a variety and get to try new things. One of the samples was called a Boca Burger. This is a soy burger that's totally vegan. There is only 100 calories in each patty, zero fat, and 18 grams of protein in each patty. They are great! I'd never had a vegan burger before. The cost is .53 cents per patty. They are loaded with vegetables and other good stuff. I can't eat a whole patty in one sitting so one patty will last me two meals. I start with lunch and finish the patty for supper. I don't know if it's coincidence or not but I've eaten one each day for the last 3 days and I've lost a pound each day. Any time I can get 18 grams of protein and have it taste good is a huge plus for me. The challenge is to keep the rest of the family from eating all of them. They all had to taste the first one I had and now they're hooked on them too. Have a wonderful weekend. Melody

Look for the "Bocca Lasagna" - it is a "personal" size frozen meal. I eat this over 2 meals. It is around $3-3.50 per meal. However, it is SOOOOO good and I love it. I add some cottage cheese and it is great. I had a coupon not to long ago that was buy one bocca get one 1/2 off....limit of 3 offers. So I bought SIX Lasagna's. LOL. So my freezer in the basement has it full of them. We also have Chix Patties, Chix Nuggets from Bocca. Because James and I both have had WLS it is just as benificial for us to buy this since we dont' eat that much and it is healthier for us and the kids. Glad you like it!! Try the lasagna! Gala

Gala thanks for the information. I didn't know there were other products. Where do you buy them? If I see them they're definately going in my freezer. I love lasagna so I'm really anxious to find that one. Right now I take cottage cheese and put a little pizza sauce on top of it. It's like having my own noodle-less lasagna. Satisfies that craving for me. If I can find a Bocca lasagna, that's even better. Now I'm hungry again. LOL Melody
