Running with angels

I just picked up a new book from Deseret Book called, "Running with Angels." It's about a woman and her struggles with obesity. She lost her weight through Weigh****chers. I actually gained weight on Weigh****chers but still, this book has a lot of wonderful insights on obesity and stress eating. The author also writes of her struggles to learn to love her body. Oddly enough, todays RS lesson was on the resurrection. I read in Doctrine and Covenants where it says the spirits of the dead view their separation from their bodies as being in bondage. While I feel that being in my body is bondage. Because my body is so fat and sick and full of pain. Anyway, has anyone read this book? What do you think? Lynda D.

Lynda, haven't read the book, haven't even heard of the book. Interesting concept about the spirits of the dead viewing their seperation from their bodies as being in bondage. I would love to hear more about that concept. I, too, feel like my body is in bondage while here on this earth. I can't wait and am even looking forward to the time when my spirit can run free. This sounds like a good book. I will look for it. Running with angels is what I feel like I am doing when I read this forum! Someday, we will all be running with them together. I can just see it now!
