HI everyone Need some advise. Have any of you had any problems with your joints since you lost weight?? I have been having a terrible time with my right hip. My surgeon said it was due to the body readjusting to the weight distribution. Ok I can see that and just decided to be patient for a while..six months to be exact. So still having major problems to the point of losing sleep every night. So went to a orthopedic surgeon and he did xrays and MRI. No arthritis no bone spurs and no fractures of any kind. But on the MRI they did find cyst on both my ovaries. The ortho dr said that could very well be the source of the pain. Called my OBGYN and talked to him he said that the cyst were not large enough to cause the kind of pain I am decsribing....so HELP...not sure what to do next. Hope all is going well for everyone. Lots of lay offs going on where I work so haven't had time to post...I do peak in on ya'll though. Have a great day Alfie

Alfie, I don't know what to tell you. I have heard that other people have similar problems. I haven't heard what they've been able to do about it. I went through several months when I hurt every time I moved. I wouldn't say it was my joints persay but it was definately my muscles. Now that I think back on it, I hurt so bad that my joints were involved too. Ibuprofen became my friend. I know that Ibuprofen is something we're discouraged to take but I hurt soo bad that I was willing to try it and see if I had problems with it. Thankfully, I never experienced any problems taking it. I took it for a good 3-4 month, two tablets, twice a day. Once in the morning and again when I went to bed so I could get some sleep. My problem resolved itself and I haven't had to take any for 3-4 weeks now. I'm NOT telling you to take something that is contraindicated for us but for me it was the right decision. It certainly helped. Good luck. I hope you find relief. Melody

Hi Melody Thanks for the reply. I have taken some tylenol but that doesn't seem to help at all. Got really bad a couple of weekends ago and I took some hydrocodone ( I know I didn't spell that right haha) but that really knocks me out. I felt better afterwards though. How are things going for you?? I know this past month has been a difficult one for you. I think about you a lot and the trials you are facing. take care and keep in touch Alfie

I've been coping this last month (actually this last month was the climax of a year that started bad). I've been to the temple 3 times in one week. This always helps and gives me such a peaceful feeling about things. My year started when we lost our job. Long, ugly, sordid story. We've been without work for over 6 months and then this bomb shell with my little girls. My husband finally got a job. The girls started therapy on Monday. No arrest has been made yet but we're expecting one any day. My sister, the perpetrators mother who happens to live in the same house as me and my girls, is an alcoholic and was arrested for a DUI a couple days ago. She bonded out. She ha**** rock bottom and realizes for the first time that she needs help and help for her family. I think that hopefully the worst of the worst is behind us and things will be a little more hopeful and bearable. I sure have relied on the Lord a lot this last 6 1/2 months. He has never let me down and I know He's not going to let me down now. We all have our trials and challenges. This just makes us stronger. I'm trying to keep things in an eternal perspective by asking myself "What is the eternal lesson I'm to learn from all of this?" The sooner I learn my lesson the sooner this will pass. Thank you for your prayers and your thoughts. Melody

I have psoriatic arthritis and MRI or xrays show no damage, but I still have it. Also, do you have fibromalygia? That cause lost of soreness but there are trigger points on the body. I have that too and its a bugger. Maybe you just need an adjustment. go to the chiropractor and get a massage Christy
