Half Dome hike is coming up

On July 9th, I'm hiking to half dome. I'm getting excited!! I've jumped from a plane (in April) and now the hike. I'll have to do some creative thinking on what to do next. Maybe skindive tanks and all. I'd like to go to Mexico and visit the Nephite/Lamanite ruins. My hubby and I are leaving he end of July and two weeks in August to drive back to Nauvoo. My ancestors came across the plains with Bro Brigham so it holds a special place for me. We plan to attend a few Temple sessions. I can't wait for the trip. Christy

Christy I have no idea if they do this back in Nauvoo or not but they do it around here - they have a trek with handcarts like the pioneers did. You actually live like the pioneers for a week and you are limited to what to can take (everything has to fit in the handcart and you have to push/pull it). The reason I mentioned Nauvoo is because the saints had to leave Nauvoo and in the summer they might have something planned like that. Just a thought. Good luck on your hike. Melody
