The prosecuting attorney came over to my house this afternoon and spent 1 & 1/2 hours with us just answering questions and explaining things. I feel much better now. He has a clearer understanding of what we want which is help and counseling for this young man and he's going to fight to get all the counseling and help for that's available. I contacted our areas public defender and asked left a message and asked if he would be interested in being an advocate for our girls. I asked this man for several reasons, one of which he is the court appointed public defender I thought he would enjoy the challenge of being on the other side of the fence and instead of asking for the lightest sentence he could get he would be in a position to be asking for the stiffest position he could get. This man is known for his honesty and his willingness to work with people in explaining things to them. I left a message and never heard back from him so I thought that he wasn't interested. Out of the blue he called me at 8:00 pm and we talked for half an hour. He explained that it doesn't matter what this young man is charged with, he could even be charged with disturbing the peace which is the most minor of all the charges that someone could be charged with, the judge (and our judge is really, really good about this), the judge will investigate and know all the history of this young man and what brought him to this point and will sentence him harshly and accordingly. The title means nothing. The judge is known for demanding counseling and help for juvenile offenders, especially those with sexual activity problems. I felt much better after speaking to both of these attorneys. First no one would speak to me and then BOOM two in one day. The public defender told me he would call me each week and stay on top of things and when the time came for us to make a victim's impact statement he would be there for us. Prayers are certainly answered. We don't want to ruin this young man's life we just want him to get all the help that he possibly can so he can live a productive life. Melody

Yes, my children are in therapy. We got them into therapy within two weeks of learning of their molestation. The bishop came over and gave a prayer and advice that when therapy has progressed and the girls are doing better that they receive a priesthood blessing erasing this memory from their minds. This young man is my nephew. We love him and we want the punishment to reflect as much counciling for him that we can possibly demand. Other than being terrified of males, my girls are really acting quite normal. Thanks for your prayers. They certainly help. Melody
