Your thoughts please?
Dear Members,
Recently it was brought to Obesityhelp's attention that title of this message board might be offensive to you. I'm asking for your possible feedback on this.
Would you rather be listed as "LDS" or "Latter Day Saints".
I know personally as I'm LDS myself that this term to some church members is offensive. I guess over the years it's just a term I've kind of adapted to within the church as "mormon" and I've not personally found it offensive.
Please let me know your thoughts about the terms and title please and I'll pass this on as something to look into changing on this board.

Hello Amy,
You know I couldn't give a hoot!!! That is my personal opinion. Now - the person(s) who brought it to OH's attention may be offended by it. And that is certainly their opinion.
I personally would rather it say "LDS" than "Mormons" but that is me. I'm greatful for all that OH offers and so at this point for me it doesn't really matter.

Amy, I, too, didn't realize that you were also LDS. I'd love it if you would post to this forum now and again. We'd love to hear from you.
As far as the name of this "mormonism" forum goes. It certainly doesn't offend me but personally if it was changed to LDS or Latter Day Saint that would be great. My computer only registers as far down as the "mens" forum. It won't allow me to go any further down in the alphabet. So changing this forum's name to the "L's" would certainly benefit me but that's strictly a selfish reason. If it never changes I can still get in through the back door so to speak.
Thanks for caring and thinking about us.

Amy - YAHOO! I can now log into the communities forum! Whatever was fixed, was fixed. Thank you if you had anything to do with it. It feels like coming home. Thank you, Thank you, Thank you.
A side thought now,
Think back let's say 4 years ago - would you or even could you imagine what your life would be like now or where you would be? This surgery/journey is a life saver, emotionally as well as physically. I just wanted you to know how proud I am of you and the inspiration and the example you've been for so many people. Sister Sherrie Dew wrote a book I just finished reading "No one can take your place". This is so appropriate. No one can take YOUR place Amy. You're remarkable.
