Currently, I am the Sunday School secretary and the Assistant Chorister in the Relief Society. I miss being in the Primary but, with my disability, it is not feasible for me to be around the children. But, I do enjoy being in the RS and with the sisters. It is so uplifting. I have given up trying to avoid the Bishopric and just let it happen. Donna

Hi, Ginger, Currently, I am one of two Ward Family History Consultants. I LOVE this calling. It is fraught with challenges that I never dreamed it would have though. I actually thought it would be easy but in reality, is one of the hardest I have ever been in and I have done a bunch! I loved Primary and adore the children but really do not want to be in it right now. Nor YW. Don't think I would be particularly good with the girls although I do teach alot of arts and crafts to them on a guest basis which is fun. No, I will be content with being the "Candy Lady" handing out hugs and candy to all the babies, children and teens and not dealing with the discipline etc. (Was recently released as a RS teacher and vt superviser) Grins, Kaye

I was just released from being the primary president after 2.5 years. I was really sad to leave. Since I don't have any kids of my own, they filled that little hole in my life. Since being released however, they have continued to leave notes on my door, and to come give me hugs at church, which is GREAT! I was called to be the 2nd Sunday RS instructor, and if I had been given a choice as to what my next calling would be, that is what I would have chosen. I taught last Sunday, and I really, really enjoy teaching. I think anything to do with Girl's Camp will always be my favorite calling! I think I have been involved with it in one way or another for most of the past 27 years. I love it!

Hi Congradulations on your new calling. I loved camp as a youth and I kept going as a leader till after the birth of our first son (23 years ago)...when we moved to Chandler, I found out that our stake owned some property that they had camp on. It wasn't an established camp..totally primative..or well, they hauled in bathrooms and showers...but no cabins..just tents. I decided camp wasn't for me any more..but maybe with the weight-loss I'll give it another try!..have fun planning!!! HugsGinger

Assistant Ward Camp Director, WOW. Those girls can be a lot of fun. I have a camp song for you. If you've heard it then sorry for the repeat. Sing it to the tune of "Popcorn Popping" I looked out the window and what did I see? Tall, dark and handsome returned missionaries. Spring has brought me such a nice surprise, tall, dark and handsome right before my eyes. I could take an armful and choose all three, but only one for eternity, It wasn't really so, but it seemed to me, Tall dark and handsome returned missionaries. I know the girls and other children really have fun singing this one. Good luck. Melody

Melody, I just LOVE that song..it is too cute!! It's funny how some camp songs just trickle down through the years and the distances..sometimes a few things are left out or added to them..but they are great! Hugs Virginia aka Ginger
