Lynda, I have had a lot of positive feedback from the members of my ward. It had be nice. I am walking more and doing more that I ever did. Like most women on this board, I prayed long and hard about being a candidate for this and I don't have any regrets...well one maybe,that is that I didn't do it earlier in my life. But I have lost 100 lbs. so far and I feel just fine. Just do what you can to boost your own self esteem and the ward will come around. I have scars from a lot of different surgeries and injuries, I have not had that "body as a temple"speech given to me. I don't think that I will anytime soon. Look for the "Bocca Lasagna" - it is a "personal" size frozen meal. I eat this over 2 meals. It is around $3-3.50 per meal. However, it is SOOOOO good and I love it. I add some cottage cheese and it is great. I had a coupon not to long ago that was buy one bocca get one 1/2 off....limit of 3 offers. So I bought SIX Lasagna's. LOL. So my freezer in the basement has it full of them. We also have Chix Patties, Chix Nuggets from Bocca. Because James and I both have had WLS it is just as benificial for us to buy this since we dont' eat that much and it is healthier for us and the kids. Glad you like it!! Try the lasagna! Gala

The other day I was in Costco and couldn't resist the samples. I just love going to Costco and trying their samples because it's a whole meal for me. I get a variety and get to try new things. One of the samples was called a Boca Burger. This is a soy burger that's totally vegan. There is only 100 calories in each patty, zero fat, and 18 grams of protein in each patty. They are great! I'd never had a vegan burger before. The cost is .53 cents per patty. They are loaded with vegetables and other good stuff. I can't eat a whole patty in one sitting so one patty will last me two meals. I start with lunch and finish the patty for supper. I don't know if it's coincidence or not but I've eaten one each day for the last 3 days and I've lost a pound each day. Any time I can get 18 grams of protein and have it taste good is a huge plus for me. The challenge is to keep the rest of the family from eating all of them. They all had to taste the first one I had and now they're hooked on them too. Have a wonderful weekend. Melody

Lynn I know what you went through with the MRI. My first MRI I was so wide that I didn't even fit my whole body into the scanner. Thankfully all they had to scan was my head because I was put in just far enough to get the scan done and it was a tight squeeze. I was sooo embarrased. The only saving thing about it was that I didn't know any of the technicians and would never see them again. I hope the cipro does the trick for you. Ear infections are very painful and be quite crippling. Have a good weekend. Melody

good grief-I had an MRI, not a CT scan-boy was that the most humiliating experience-and painful!!! It took 2 guys to shove me in that dang tube-it was such a tight fit my hands went totally numb. no results til next week. I went back to urgent care today and told them I was not gonna last the weekend with the pain and swelling-the doctor I got put me on Cipro in case it is Psuedemonas, and then gave me some Vicoden to help with the pain. she thinks the swelling may be from Psuedemonas-I hope she is right. I can't even chew right now because my jaw is so swollen. Thank you for the tip-maybe that's all it is and I can have a life soon, again!!! ((hugs)) lynn k
