Thanks for the details Daph. Keep them coming. When I read that you were expecting I "Threw my hands up with joy" Okay, I'll not remind you about the throwing up part. Take care of yourself, drink extra liquids and get extra protein.

Sherrie - I'm so sorry that your daughter is giving you such challenges. I was lucky, none of my children have given me any problems - yet (knock on wood). There is a wilderness bootcamp type school in our area. Idaho is a long way from Texas but I know they take troubled teens from all over the United States. We're a real rual desert area and the kids absolutely hate living off the land without any luxuries. I think that any kind of teen boot camp is a bit on the pricey side but sometimes we do what we need to do to save our child's life. E-mail me if you're interested in learning more about the program here in Idaho.

Topic: OT - need advice please!!!!
I really need advice on how to handle something - I am ready to surrender my daughter to strangers - does anyone know of a school or boot camp for troubled teens? My daughter is skipping school, flunking all of her classes, has a reputation as a boyfriend stealer even though she is not old enough to date yet (15), walking out of classes in the middle of class, back talking and sassing all adults, wearing a dog collar and leash to school, she cut off her hair and died it bright red (without my knowledge!) getting into fight****ting a boy all the way down 2 hallways of school, etc. - any suggestions, I dont know what to do with her!!

What is New for YOU Today???
I dont know what to say on what is new. I dont start my new job until March 21 now because the trainers both took off spring break week on the 14th to be with their kids, so I am stuck taking a week off - which would be great except its a week with no pay.

It can be done in a few different ways on how we "respond".
The first person that started this thread way back last year would respond to each individual post. You and I know that takes a ton of time. And with just a few posters here that would be okay.
Now that Patti is doing the post on the OFF forum she responds each morning to the posts the day before. Here is the link from yesterday's post. http://www.obesityhelp.com/morbidobesity/amosforums/over_50/postdetail/40953.html?vc=0
Now today she didn't have time in the AM and so she just made a quick "start" to the thread and told what her day was like. Others followed in.
I don't know how old you are. But come on over to the Over 50 forum. I'm not 50 nor will I be anytime soon. So you're welcome regardless. Jump in. Really!! I mean in. Tell them I sent you.
Take Care!!
And as far as your weightloss. Great Job!!! You are doing great. I hope you are feeling better and better w/each lb-inch that leaves your body.
Hang in there. Love, Gala

Topic: RE: WAKE UP - ROLL CALL!!!
Hi Gala. I really needed this right now. I'm going through a really, really, really tough time right now. I've needed someone on this board who would understand and to listen. Thank you for your timing. Your post was certainly an answer to my prayers for someone to listen and understand how I feel. Our employment has gone from adequated to non exitant right now. We were contracted through our County government. They are doing everything in their power from law suits to ordinances to denying payment to us for past debt they owe us. When I ask them "why" their answer is "I'm not going to tell you". This has put me in a tremendous depression and taken away my self esteem. This was our income, aside from my teeny, teeny bit of social security disability this was our only income. My husband has had two liver transplants, is over 50 years old and unemployable for someone else. I feel like things are absolutely hopeless for us.
I know that Heavenly Father gives us tests so we can grow and become stronger. I know that Heavenly Father knows us personally, loves us and only gives us challenges that he knows we can handle. I know that Heavenly Father has a plan for us. I know that Heavenly Father knows what's around the corner. I know that when a door is closed another one opens. I also know that we need to pray for those the spitefully use us (I think that that's my problem right now, I haven't prayed for those that are trying so hard to hurt us). It hurts soo bad that I'm having a hard time praying for my enemies. Now that I realize what is lacking I'm going to be sure to include them in my nightly prayers tonight.
Sorry to vent. You asked that we reply and say HI. I just took it as a chance to vent with my tears.
Melody
