1. They say in Texas the four seasons are early summer, summer, late summer, and winter. I guess of those I prefer winter. It actually snowed once last year - on valentines day. The kids loved it! 2. have my biggest concern in the world be how loud I could crank my stereo without blowing my eardrums - and not have anything else be my problem. -Sherrie

HI there 1. What's your favorite season and why? Winter. I grew up in Indiana and I always loved going out in the snow and making the first foot prints...I love hearing the crunching under my feet the snow makes. I am also a nut about Christmas. I love decorations and all the magic of Christmas. My stepson has quite the odd view to me for his children. He won't let them believe in Santa. He is a member and active but says he doesn't want his children to lose sight of what Christmas is really about. So I have a hard time with him on this issue among others...you know the step parent/step child thing is difficult no matter what. Anyway my hubby and I have had a tradition since our first Christmas 19 years ago and that is no present is opened until hubby reads the Christmas story out of the book of Luke. So at our house at Christmas time this story is read 3 times. Once for Lee and I as we open our presents and two of his children come over at different times during the holidays for their Christmas with us and before they get to open the gifts the story is read. I love going and looking at the Christmas lights too 2. If you could still do one thing you did when you were a kid (and get away with it) what would it be and why? Now this is a hard one...I think I would have to say going and going and going and still having energy to go some more... Have a great day everyone Alfie

Oh, Santa. That was a good one Melody. It was so exciting wasn't it. We used to sneak out of bed around 4 a.m. and take a peek and then sneak back to bed with a piece of candy.

Topic: Lurkers it's time to post
I noticed today for the first time that Obesityhelp has started putting the number of times the post has been viewed. I also noticed the discrepency in how many times the post has been answered compared to how many times it's been viewed. Does this mean that we have a lot of lurkers that aren't answering posts? I know that I often check back to see what other people have posted so I know that's responsible for several of the #of views but I also think that people are reading and not giving us feedback. So for all your Lurkers out there - say "HI" once in a while. Melody

Any other time this celebration would have been occasion to have cake and some ice cream. I guess that's all in the past for us now. Congratulations on what you've accomplished. I can't wait until I can join the same club. Melody

Good for you Erin. It takes a lot of courage to go back to church when you haven't been for a while. It was Fast Sunday too. The two meetings of the month which are my favorite are Fast Sunday (I love hearing the testimonies and the Spirit that is there) and the other favorite week is High Concil Sunday. I love listening to the High Council speak. I'm so glad that you felt welcome. Each week will be better and better. You'll feel like you have a whole other family. Let's talk about your chest discomfort. Are you sweaty with it - diaphoretic (cold sweat)? Are you short of breath with it? Do you feel overly weak with it? If you answered "yes" to any of these questions than you need to call 911 and go to the emergency room. Update us on how you're doing Erin. Melody

Good detective work. I wish you were on better terms with your PA because your discover about your BC pills may be something she should know about to help other patients that have had WLS. That was pretty wise on your part to sort and figure this out. I also have an IUD and love it. So convenient. I don't think Heavenly Father wants us to do anything permanent to our bodies such as having our tubes tied - that's just my opinion. I think I heard that one time from a church authority somewhere. The IUD is a great solution (you can't ever "forget" to use it - ha ha) Good going girl. I hope the nausea stops and you start feeling better. Melody

1. What's your favorite season and why? Spring. May to be exact. May is the only month in Idaho where everything is green, even the desert. In June things start turning brown, the desert will remain brown the rest of the year but in May everything is green. 2. If you could still do one thing you did when you were a kid (and get away with it) what would it be and why? Believe in the magic of Santa Claus again. Go to bed christmas eve with the hope that Santa would arrive and by morning you wake up and the magic has occured and Santa has been there and left things.
