Tamara, My heart understands the loss of a child and I will definitely keep your friend in my prayers. It sounds like there is some hope left but that her history is scaring the bejeebies out of her and her poor hubby. Please keep us posted. I'm a 50 year old grandma so I don't ever hang on the pregnancy forum and will wonder about how it all turned out. hoping all is well, Joyce in az

I've never had a miscarriage or lost a child but I have friends that have. I don't think they ever really get over it. I'm sorry your friend has to go through this. I'll keep her family in my prayers. Melody

Hey everyone. I have a friend from the postop pregnancy board going thru the worst thing that can happen to a pregnant mom. I have posted the link to her story. Please find some time to read it and say a prayer for her and her family. Thanks, Tammy http://www.obesityhelp.com/forums/postop_pregnancy/postdetai l/115509.html?vc=0

Joyce, this is MY opinion and ONLY my opinion. I think that having the extra skin removed is great but we need to be careful not to go beyond that. We need to be careful not to fall into Satan's snare of having to look "perfect". This might be a great job for you and help keep you on track but PLEASE be prayerful and careful about the temptation to have "just a little bit more done". By the way, I've been watching the travel channel and they have the National Geographic type shows about isolated indian tribes in other remote countries. These people don't wear a lot of clothes. It was comforting to me to see that a woman's natural breast as she ages is to be flat and hanging. Be careful not to fall into the trap of having your "breasts" enlarged. That is NOT natural and NOT how our Heavenly Father wants us to look. Good luck Joyce. Like I say, this is my opinion only. Melody

Hi all, I had WLS 4 years ago and have been involved in the industry ever since. I first started out as a Pre-op educator for my original surgeon's program. I progressed to event planning and have helped O.H. with a few events as well as local Phoenix programs. I have most recently worked for Dr. Terry Simpson (WLS author and Lap Band suregon) for over a year and a half and recently quit to get some personal things taken care of (medical, daughter's spring wedding, etc). One of the teeny reasons that I quit was that I felt I was setting myself up for having to "be perfect". Since I worked with pre-ops and post-ops daily, I was always aware of their feelings over my looks. I felt pressure to be the perfect role model. It kept me kind of on the right path though I am 20 pounds over my perfect goal weight. ...... So, when I quit, I all of a sudden (and big surprise to me) got pursued with employment opportunities. The one that is most interesting to me right now is with a Cosmetic Surgical Practice. These plastic surgeon's specialize in reconstructive post weight loss patients. I did not go to them for my own abdominoplasty. Their practice also includes staff that does the bizaare stuff as well.....botox, skin stuff, etc. The job is as a Cosmetic Coordinator and would be a blast. They are interested in me because of my experience in the industry and my contacts around AZ. It is definitely "not" because I have a Barbie Doll look that other's would want to copy!!!! So, I'm wondering......will this be too much pressue for me to look perfect? Will I feel that this is too worldy of an environment? I feel my relatives will go negative...........On the other hand...I totally believe that people have the right to complete their weight loss journey with reconstructive surgery. I don't feel like I"m going to work for a Vegas show room or anything but there is a negative feeling from many in our church towards plastic surgery. Perspectives? Opinions? ....Bring it! I can handle it! Huggggzzzz! Joyce in az

Melody, Thanks so much for all you do for me. I really appreciate it. This summer we are going to Boise and we are going to stop at the Shoshone Falls with the kids. We haven't been to the falls since Josh was a baby and he's 7 now. Andy and Kayden have never even seen it and I'm sure Gavin and Josh doesn't even remember it. Thanks for including us on the temple prayer roll. Don't forget to add Chad's name to. He's having a hard time with his testimony (more then I) and I worry about him. He isn't against the church, just struggling spiritually because of all the turmoil we have had both with the church (old bishop in old ward...new ward and bishop GREAT!), finances, and my health issues. I had to deal with a similar problem on my computer a few months ago. My husband opened a junk mail site, and it came with a virus. So I did lots of research, until I found the right things to clean the files out. But one of the locations I came upon is this. 1. Select Tools 2. Select Internet Options and under look at Temporary Internet Files, there will be three selections there. 3. Select Settings, this will open another small screen 4. Click on View Files. This will give you dates times, and you can see frequency of visits. It will give you the sites, and help you to know what type of porn your dealing with as well as give you some more insight into what perhaps his issues are. Sorry this is happening to a sister, it is in fact a very destructive issue and one that is happening way too often in the LDS home. Linda W.

Topic: RE: Bible Question
Tammy, I just called Deseret Book and asked them for a recommendation for a New Testament Study guide that was easy to understand. There are many New Testament study guides available now but the descriptions lead me to understand that they are for going into more depth into the New Testament. Before you get discouraged, I did find out about a book that is being re-released so Deseret Book does not have it yet but they should have it in the next couple months. The name of the book is "The New Testament made easier". That might be something to check on. Good luck, Melody P.S. The Bible as a whole is difficult. You have to understand the culture and the way the people talked when the scriptures were written. In our Ward we have a gospel doctrine teacher who is fabulous. He always goes into the background of things so we can understand more fully what the lesson is about. You are not the only ones who struggle with understanding the Bible.
