Wow I was shocked to find a mormon forum here. I am happy for this. I am new here to this forum. I had my surgery Jan 2nd 2003 and I have lost 141 pounds. I am in search of a great plastic surgeon. I live in Kalispell Mt. I would love to get to know everyone here. My email address is [email protected] . Hope to make some new friend here, thanks Kathy
Topic: WLS and enrichment night.
Hello,
Last night I went to Relief Society Enrichment Night. We had a theme of around the world in 80 minutes. They spotlighted 3 countries and had sisters, that were from them, talk about their homelands. After that they served foods indiginous to each country. There was nothing there that I could even taste. There are many people on different diets etc so I thought sure there would be some foods that weren't all sugar! Not one. I was fine but I don't suffer from much hunger anymore. What about the others who haven't had wls and do get hungry. There were at least 3 sisters who ended up going off their food plans. I felt bad for them.
Should something be said? It isn't fair to stop all food but not fair to those who can't have sugars etc either.
Does anyone have any thoughts on this subject?
I am just pondering this, not complaining or anything. Besides, wanted to start a thread here. Lets get to know each other.
Grins,
Kaye
Topic: Where is everyone?
I would love someone to start a thread here. I do realize that most of us are busy but it would be great to share things with others who see the world etc, in somewhat the same way I do.

Topic: I'm Home!
Hey everyone!
I'm home safe and sound and I am sore, but doing good. Walking is another story altogether. I have to walk hunched over for now but it is starting to get easier. My dr. gave me heprin injections during the time I was in the hospital and I am actually grateful. I will be back a little later to talk some more. For now, I am going to rest. Thanks to all who sent me good wishes and I do appriciate you.

Hilarious Gala! I remember those days all too well!
Melody's reply also brought to mind a day when my dd Holly was staying with me while her dh was in basic training. She had just checked on her two wee ones
and came into the living room, where I was watching tv. She san****o the couch and threw her arm up over her eyes and said, "Now I know why children look so sweet and innocent in their sleep." Of course, I bit and asked why. "So we don't smother them!" I still find that funny today even though she wasn't laughing. lol I love having grandchildren even though I never told my children I hoped they had one just like them, they did!!!
Grandchildren are a mothers revenge so Gala, Melody and everyone, you will get revenge.
(Doesn't mean I don't have compassion for you. I just see that you will be compensated! lol)
Grins and hoping today will be smoother.

Gala - I wish we lived closer to each other so our children could play. I have a 5 y/o blond female and a 3 y/o blond female who beg everyday to have someone to play with.
I TOTALLY understand where you're coming from. I'll tell you what, I'll trade with you for a couple days. I think after that we'll be thankful for what we have. (You can spank your own kids).
I use the same technique that I used when I was in labor. When the labor pain was over I would tell myself "I'll never have THAT exact pain again". I tell myself the same thing at the end of a challenging day - "I will never have that exact day again".
Thank goodness for bedtime.
