Kaye, I just read your profile. Wow. You've really been through some tough stuff. I've never had a stricture and hope I never do. It doesn't sound fun. Teresa White posted this about hair loss on the main message board a few months ago. I copied it and saved it for further reference. I thought you might be interested in reading it. "Hello family, I see at least 5-6 times a week someone asking about hair loss and help with hair loss. Now I know for a fact my hair was falling out in big handfuls.. I purchased the Andrew Lessmans Healthy Hair Skin and Nails vitamins...Within 2 weeks my hair had stopped falling out at this ungodly rate and with in 4 weeks I had tons of new baby hairs coming in.. I am not one to waste my money and not one to brag on something that I dont believe in. I truly believe that these vitamins and 2 tablespoons of ground flax seed is what helped my hair most.. These vitamins have: Vitamin A 1,000u Vitamin C 100 mg VItamin D 100u Vitamin B2 5 mg Vitamin B1 5 mg Niacin 10 mg Vitamin B6 10 mg Folic Acid 200mcg Vitamin B12 20 mcg Biotin 2 mg Pantothenic acid 50 mg MSM 700 mg Gelatin 188 mg Choline Bitartrate 50 mg Inositol 25 mg PABA 25 mg Silicon 30 mg soluble organic silicon complex 10 mg I can honestly tell you that seeing is believing and I know how much my hair has changed.... I got mine at hsn.com Teresa " Like I said - Teresa White is the one responsible for this post about hair loss. Me personally, I take Biotin. A 1500 mg tablet twice a day. My hair loss is minimal probably at a normal hair loss rate. Congratulations on your 90 pound loss! That's remarkable. Kind of fun to raid your daughters closet. Come chat some more. Hope you're feeling better. Melody

Kaye - Welcome to this forum. I had my surgery on March 8th of this year so my surgery was 4 days ahead of yours. How is the losing going? I'm a slow looser but I have lost 70 pounds so I'm definately not complaining. Hope you enjoy the cool whip idea. It's nice for us to have a little treat all our own. Come to this site often. As you can tell by my posts - I love to chat! Melody

I am so happy to find this forum. I have read through some of it and alot of the names are familiar from other forums. Glad to see you all. I had my surgery 3/12/04 and despite some complications, do not regret it. Melody, I am trying the recipe you gave with the cool whip. Tomorrow my daughter, Erin and her family, will come over after church to celebrate my birthday and I made some for me to eat while the others have brownies and ice cream. I am looking forward to it. I am looking forward to hearing from others on this board. I love being a member of this church and all that it entails. I am especially interested in genealogy and have been doing that for 36 years. Grins, Kaye

Topic: Donna Seamon had her surgery!
Donna Seamon had her surgery on Friday, July 30th. She had her procedure open (Her surgeon doesn't do laps). I spoke to her a little while ago and she says she's doing fine, battling that darn dry mouth that comes with the post surgical narcotic. She'll be in the hospital for a few more days. Melody

Topic: RE: No one noticed
Hi Allison. It's nice (and discouraging) to hear that others are experiencing the same thing about "No one noticing" their weight loss. Maybe everyone is waiting for US to vocally brag on how much weight weight we've lost. I know some people who brag in public about how much weight they've lost, I was just hoping someone would notice on their own without being told. Me being vain I guess. Keep coming and chatting. Melody
