Thanks Melody for the info. I have seen the previews for that movie and was hoping it was a good one. My husband is an even bigger movie nut than I am and he gets so disappointed when an action film comes out with his favorite stars and ends up being R. We are planning to go see Spiderman 2 pretty soon. The first one we really enjoyed and my step son who is 30 is the biggest Spiderman fan..he loved both the movies so now we have to go see the new one too. Have a great week. Alfreda

Thanks for the heads up on the movie. I have wondered if it was fit to watch and now I know. I may go and see it sometime or wait till comes to pay per view. It is hard to hear in the movie theaters.

My DH and I celebrated our 23rd wedding anniversary today (and our birthdays) by going to the movie "Terminal" with Tom Hanks. I give it 2 thumbs up. Clean. Rated PG-13 but I think it's because younger children wouldn't understand the story. The language was clean. NO obsenities. NO inappropriate sexual stuff. Gee there was NO sexual stuff of any kind in the movie. The worst that happened was a CLOSED mouth kiss between the two leading people. This movie IS inappropriate for younger children. They would be bored stiff and not understand what was being said. Tom Hanks speaks with an accent and you have to be more mature than a youngster to understand. Good movie. Definately have my recommendation. Melody

Gala - don't be too shocked if you find you'll gain a couple pounds back. Are bodies are made up of something like 70% water and you were VERY dehydrated. Water is heavy. When you become more hydrated you may find the scales showing a couple pound gain. You should start feeling better emotionally as well as physically now. Hang in there Gala. Melody

I spent the last 4 hrs in the ER receiving 2 liters of fluids. My IV wasn't good to begin with or I would have gotten 3 liters. I had a follow up appt. this morning with PCP -- and was severely dehydrated. What a ride this has been. On a good note on my Drs scale I am -18 lbs in 9 days. He isn't my surgeon and was bit concerned that this is to fast. Specially since I am done nearly 10 lbs since Monday. However, because I was/am so dehydrated he said that is partially expected. Gala

Topic: Fun family home evening idea
Because of the upcoming July 24th and the pioneer significance of that date, we had a fun Family Home Evening on Monday night. First we talked about Pioneers and sang pioneer songs, then we played a game that was in the July Friend. Afterwards we made our very own covered wagons. When we played the game that was included in the July issue of the Friend, everyone finished the game and my piece came in last. I was still on the trail when everyone else had finished. It was a perfect lead into explaining to the children that not everyone was able to finish the journey. Some had to be left behind (death). Thankfully it was MY piece that was left on the trail. My children were 3 and 5 years old and they made the covered wagons all by themselves. We took a Twinkie. 4 vanilla wafers for the wheels. a 4X4 piece of paper for the cover. 2 Toothpicks that were pointed at both ends for the axels. Put one end of the toothpick and poke into one vanilla wafer (we used a generic brand and it didn't crack or break). Poke the toothpick with the vanilla wafer through the paper, into the twinkie and out through the other side of the twinkie. You poke it through the oposite side of the paper and through another Vanilla wafer. You do this for both ends of the twinkie. Easy, not messy. Something the children could do on their own. The hardest part of the whole project was me NOT eating a twinkie. I solved this by not making one for myself and of course I couldn't eat the little girls' wagon.

I have been trying to get my hubby to have wls but I know he would be a big baby. My 5 year old wanted to jump all over me for weeks before I could pick him up and my ADHD 8 year old was less then pleasant while I healed, so I can really empathize with you. Good luck to you - this too shall pass! -Sherrie

Thanks Melody. You are so sweet!! Both my VT have been on vacation the last week. Nice timing I know. And I didn't know they were gone either. Luli called tonight and she is taking them to a park or something tomorrow. While I was on the phone w/her all of 10 min - Abigayle lost -snack time. Then my mom called and she had to go to bed immediatly -- which meant she didn't get her lap time. I feel bad about that. But at that point I lost it. I yelled at her telling her that I am sick, she knows that and she continues to scream and yell and not be nice to me when I am on the phone or when I ask her to be quiet. Then of course I had my own meltdown afterward because I know in my heart she is just acting "herself" then some. My mom can't believe how naughty they are being. They are perfect angels "like all kids" when they are somewhere else. Not once did Bryant try to hurt Abi last week while she had them...yet tonight in a 30 min. period - jumped over her purposely kicking her, bit her, ran and jumped on her hitting her in the face. Each time he was reprimanded and put on a time out. He isn't even 2 yet -- he for the most part is just being rambunctios. But yet he is just plain a bull. Heck yesterday I had him to the dr. and he hit the dr. numerous times because he wouldn't give Bryant any more "drink water". He got right in Dr. Kramer's face telling him "I thirsty wan****er". LOLOL...My mom's co worker said today "Did she just want to die right there or did she feel like 'hey it isn't just me'. I agree...w/the latter. We have 1 YW in our branch. She lives 35 miles from us so it would be hard. We have a neighbor girl that has babysat a few times but both my dh and Abi dont' like her. So it beats the purpose. James has been home on medical leave/disability for over a year. I shouldn't expect anymore out of him -- yet in the same vain just once I could use a break. I made dang sure that he had 2-???(all day) of quiet the week he came home and yet not once has he made a call to help me out. He is of the mind set that "I had open and you had Lap and open is much worse and you should be better by now. If I didn't have this stupid bladder infection...I would be. I have a raging bladder infection. My surgeon's nurse told me that if by Thursday it doesn't get better I am back in the hospital. I had to have a shot today for it because I am gagging up the medication and not getting the full dose Sorry...I am just complaining here. . Thanks for listening. Gala ps..I know I am mourning food. And it bothers me. I have wanted this for so long and fought so hard for it. Somehow James can eat a toasted tuna salad w/cheese sandwhich.....we use the low carb sarah lee bread but still. It was killing me. So I took a bit. Very small one and did fine. Later I had a finger of the tuna salad which helped but still I just want something "hard to chew" and I can't.
