Christine, I just looked at your profile. My goodness we have a lot in common. We both started at the same weight. My surgery was one year after yours. Your profile gave me something to look forward to and hopes and ideas of where I will be at your stage.
I took your personality test. It's nice to see all mine were in the "low" level too.

Topic: Hello new here
I just found this signt and I think it is wonderful that we as members of the LDS church can chat about WLS and our lives as members of the church. I had surgery in April 2003 and have lost about 135lbs. I feel so much better and can do so many more things. I am enjoying life with my 3 sons now. I just wanted to say hello to everyone and home to see more posts on here.

Topic: RE: Too quiet
Good Morning. Man I am tired this morning.
I agree this board is WAY to quiet. There are so many times I come, look, no new posts and then go back to the OVER 50 Forum..and man I'm NOT 50!!!! So as much as I like the members there I feel that I don't belong.
We have a 10 yr old we adopted from LDSSS 6 yrs ago. He has BP, Reactive Attachment Disorder, ODD and few more things. So man do I know about the challenges you are going threw x 3...not sure I could handle that. Bless you my dear!!
My surgery is on Tuesday. My initial gall bladder u/s was negative for stones. Then I have had problems the last few weeks and had a CCK test on Monday and it was abnormal stating I need it removed asap -- so that comes out on Tuesday too. I have no clue how to make it threw the weekend w/o pain meds cause it is not feeling so hot the last few days.
Other than that..I am WAY to tired this morning. Had my DH in the ER last night. He is 2.5 weeks post op, -27 lbs and this morning I am sure he is down another 5 lbs. LOLOL...he basically was told to go home and poop. They gave him an enima and sent him home w/prescription for some stool softeners. Something about the small bowl had hard stool and usually that is only liquid. SO for some reason his bowels are not functioning quite right. Most likely the mixture of having had surgery, not getting enough fluids, not moving around enough -- bingo. I was really worried that he had a kinked bowl or something more serious and that I would have to reschedule my surgery..> Cause man if that has to happen it isn't going to be pretty..
Anyway, I am goin to go take a shower and hope/pray I can get woke up here.
Love Ya and Take Care.

I am working as an accounts manager in the airline division of an asset recovery company - we basically collect past due commissions from travel agents for airlines. Its kind of fun - I mean, collections is collections, but this is talking to people who get to jet set all over the world. I used to work for Aetna insurance - they were NOT fun to work for, so this is nice.
My degree is in Speech Pathology/ Audiology, and my minor is in education - I will probably go into the schools next year - I have wanted to get to a normal weight before I go to work in the schools. This is the first time I can finally move enough to keep up with the kids - when I was 368 lbs FORGET about it - I couldnt even walk down the hall to the bathroom without huffing and puffing.
I have 3 kids - one is autistic, one is bipolar, and one is VERY ADHD - and my husband has Aspergers... My family keeps me really busy - they are quite the bag of mixed nuts. LOL.
I was born into the church, my husband was raised Jewish and converted (surprisingly to me!!) after we married. He took the missionary lessons just to learn about the religion his future children would be raised in - never intending to convert - but then he had what he calls his "JESUS DREAM" basically explaining that Jesus is the "telephone wire" that connects earth to God. - I dont quite get the analogy, but hey it works for him, and he has been a member for 9 years now!
OK I want to hear about everyone else now - lets keep this board jumping!!
