Good for you Tammy. That's a start. I think it's great that you chose a fast sunday to attend as well. I love our Fast and Testimony meetings. We rarely have a break between testimonys and we often run over because people just don't want the meeting to end.
Line upon Line, Precept upon precept. Take it one step at a time and before you know it, it will become an old habit again.
Keep going Tammy, I know our Heavenly Father was very proud of you yesterday.

Topic: Went to Church Today.
Hey everyone.
We finally made it to church as a family today. I was half afraid that the church was going to fall down around our ears. LOL.
We are now having one on one meetings with our bishop. He is seeing Chad and I individually. He is so wonderful. I told him that I was drinking coffee on a regular basis and in all honesty I have no intentions of quitting. Well, duh. I won't want to quit while I'm not being active and attending church regularly. I think once that happens the urge to quit will come.
It also helps that church is now 1:30-4:30 instead of at 9:30. I admit, I'm lazy. I need my sleep.
So....I'm one for one. Ask me next sunday.

Topic: Update on Kaye
Just an update on our lovable, wonderful Kaye. Kaye is in the hospital having surgery 2 days ago. She went in for surgery for a severe case of diverticulitis. She went in to have part of her sigmoid colon removed. I just spoke to Kaye. Still in pain, but managable she seems to be in good spirits (even when she's at her sickest, I've always found her in good spirits).
Kaye told me her surgery went well. During her 3 1/2 hour surgery, they found 4 major problems that they hopefully corrected. So it was like having 4 major surgeries in one. Let me see if I can list them correctly. My apologies to Kaye if I don't get them right. She had a kinked bowel. They removed her sigmoid colon which was full of infection from diverticulitits. Her incision line at her pouch from her WLS was leaking and that was repaired (interesting since surgery was almost a year ago). And they removed some major adhesions.
Surgery was only two days ago and Kaye is only allowed ice chips. Kaye told me that for the first time she actually feels hungry. That sounds like good news to me.
Keep remembering Kaye in your prayers. She has a long road ahead of her to finally feel normal.

Topic: RE: Hello, everyone.
Hello Jake, nice to meet you. You are a WONDERFUL assest to our board. I hope that you will check back with us often.
My name is Melody. I live in Idaho. I've been part of the church my entire life - being baptized at the ripe young age of 8.
Welcome again to our board. We tend to go through phases where we aren't very talkative. Hopefully that drought will change soon.
Feel free to jump in and start your own post or ask questions of your own or even post your successes or your frustrations.

Topic: Hello, everyone.
We're so peculiar we even have an OH message board! Nice to meet you all. I'm Jake, a member in Chico California. Just had a laprosc. RNY on 12/18. everything seems to be going well. Just thought I'd introduce myself. I also worked for years in an LDS bookstore, so I tend to know very random/obscure products and facts that are gospel related. Just ask, I might know where to find something.
Topic: RE: Prayers needed for one of our own
Gala, I think this is the other Kaye. She's the Kaye from Idaho.
Thank you for your prayers. She's been through a lot, tremendous pain for many months now and multiple surgeries. Hopefully this will be the last surgery she needs.
