Linda, I am so excited for you. Just remember that the inside you is still you! As a matter of fact, I still don't remember that people who haven't seen me since I have lost the weight, don't recognize me. I get quite hurt sometimes. Linda, It will be 1 year on July 11th. It has been a ride, but very much worth it. I have so much more enegry, that spills over into all I do. I think I have grown spiritual also, and that I did not realize what I was missing. Congr. on your surgery date, I started at 293/298 and as of Thursday I am at 177. I want to lose another 27 pounds. SO I need to get more excerise in and get rid of it. Eating healthy is important also, follow your doctors and listen to your body and all will go well. Have a great 4th. Hi Annette, welcome to our little community. I just returned from a temple marithon (marithon for me anyway), I was able to do three consecutive sessions. That's a big one for me. Our temple is two hours away from us so it's been an all dayer for me. Good luck and hope to see you back here often. We need someone to stir us up once in a while. Melody

I'd been tossing around the idea of gastric bypass for a few years since a know a number of members here in MT as well as in UT who've had it done. My husband was pretty nervous due to side effects, risks, etc. I went to have a work up on my kidney stones with the nephrologist and he ordered a CAT Scan. The radiologist told him that I have fatty liver from being obese. My hubby and I had already discussed that I should have the lap band, but I said to my doc, "I want to have GB". He said, "No you don't, you want to have the Lap Band." Weird! We talked about it, and the next day I called Dr. Rohrer in Great Falls and made an appt. I saw him last month and since then I've been working on the pre-auth. My appt with the cardiac doc is in about 1/2 hour, so I'll be heading out. I can't wait to get the lap band and start on the road to recovering my health. I want to lose the sleep apnea and the high blood pressure pills! Can't wait to learn from all of you!
