Hi Kaye, welcome to this site. Congratulations on your upcoming surgery. By the time you read this, you'll be post op. I try to come to this site everyday. I'm having problems getting on this site and the technical help at Obesityhelp thinks it's with my computer somewhere. I have to wait until someone posts and then I can get to the site by viewing the full posts (when Obesityhelp sends me a synopsis of the day's or week's posts). It makes it difficult. I try to post and respond as often as I can so you'll probably see my name up several times.
Good luck and know that for me at least this was a good decision and I'm glad I made it. Follow your doctor's instructions. There will be a time shortly after surgery that you're going to say to yourself "What in the world did I do to myself?". You'll go through "head hunger" and mourning food. When things get tough come back to this board and vent and we'll help you through it.
Good luck Kaye.

I am new to this site, and have enjoyed reading the board, it has given me strength. Surgery date is Monday, I am trying to not be nervous. I am going to ask my home teacher to give me a blessing tommrow at church. I know that I can do this with the Lords help and you all backing me. So you all have a great week, I am starting a New Beginng!! Love Kaye

Don't Give up, I am thinking there a reason, the Lord must have something very special for you at the Temple. I had to wait myself, and I can tell you the experience was more then worth it. To be taught by Heavenly Father at his Temple. Know that he loves you and yes Satan is working on you, but know he will not win. Stay strong in his truths and you will be glad you did. Love Kaye

Saralan, I think you're going to find your smaller ward even more of a family. You each have to rely on each other and you get to know each other on a more personal level. They can be your biggest support if you let them.
Enjoy your experience and make it a positive one with a postive attitude.
Good luck moving.

Well when things get to routine the Lord will help get things all messed up again.
Where my DH works went on strike (Asarco Mine). We came home from vaction to that.
We were in Burney Ca. He was offered another job--- It is a little bitty town and we both just love it and can't wait to get back up to it.
The ward is about 28 miles away and it is itty bitty too. There are 5 stakes here in Tucson(I think). At church Sunday there might have been 30 people (including children). Wow every one could bare there testimoney(sp). That will be a hard one for me. Because I depend on my memeber friends to get me threw the very hard times.
Threw all these changes we are only depending on HF to get us threw this.
I do not know how people go threw life without the Gosipel o shut I can't spell anything.
I have such a strong testimoney latley. I almost lost it but had to get out there and find it.
I started having more personel prayers. DH & I always have nightley prayers but that at times seems just not sufficent. Even thou I pray for the same things in my private ones that I do in are evening ones.
Well all Have a good Day.

Congratulations on doing what you need to do to be spiritually ready to enjoy your temple blessings.
I'm sure you're frustrated that things aren't moving as quickly as you would like. Satan is working overtime to keep you away. Stay strong and trust in the Lord that everything will turn out as it's supposed to.
Keep the Bishop and the Stake President in your prayers. Satan is working overtime on them too. They need all the prayers we can send their way.
Be patient. It will happen. When all is done you can feel the joy and blessings all the more.
I loved Jonathan's comparison about this must be how those on the other side feel waiting for us to get their temple work done for them.
Keep the faith. Our prayers are with you.

Contact the web site monitors and let them know that we can't get to the messageboard. Inform them of the problem and see if it can be resolved. This is the best answer I can come up with.

The Bishop is a busy man, and subtle reminders to him and or his wife would be ok if done with tact. Keep prayerful and don't loose hope. The Lord will make it happen in his time and not ours. I will keep you in my prayers and let you know that we are all here for you.
