Topic: RE: Everyone must be riding
Well a small update... The tummy tuck went fine but recovery was a bit slow. Those darn drains are a pain. It took me a good 7 weeks before I was able to ride on the bike comfortably again. We're heading out tomorrow to ShakerTown in KY after putting on 150 miles today. What a way to break myself in.
I hope you all are getting in as much riding as you can stand now. Have fun but be careful.

Hi Melissa
I missed riding too. I had open RNY in April and so I was being cautious. Had a good ride though and no soreness or problems. If the weather holds up we'll be out again through out the week. Its worth waiting till your doc says its ok. To much at stake not to be careful. Good talking with you and keep in touch!!

Hey Alfreda my name is Melissa. I'm from Lafayette La. I'm haveing my WLS on June 2nd. That is the only thing that I'm dredding is not being able to ride my bike. I ride a Suzkuki Intruder 800 my husband rides a Honda vtx 1300. So he will still be riding without me. But that's ok, I'll be back out there before long. Well keep both wheels on the road and be safe. Later...

Hi everyone..Just got to get back on my bike yesterday after having my surgery in April.
I really missed it. Hubby jumped on his and I on mine and a way we went!! What a wonderful way to start the weekend.
The Honda Goldwing Club is having the Honda Wing Ding here in the Dallas/Fort Worth area this year and its going to be awesome. Have a great holiday everyone and be safe.

Good question do mixed marraiges work? When my weight got to the highest I stopped riding for a while. My hubby traded in his ZX-12 for a Goldwing. I hated riding on the back. When I started losing the weight and was shopping for another bike. As soon as the words sportbike came out of my mouth the Goldwing was history and he had a new ZX-12. I would have ridden with him on a cruiser. Would have just gotten to our destinations much quicker than he did. I have no problem with other bikes and other bikers. I have friends on all kinds of bikes. And friends that do different things with them. Some roadrace, some stunt, some cruise. In 2 weeks we are riding our sportbikes to a Warlocks party. We are friends with most of them and I don't see a problem of any kind. I started a bike night here in town. We had a bike show/contest. The winner rode a beautiful custom made chopper. It would not be the bike I would prefer to ride but it was definately the most custom made, ornate and expensive bike there. And BTW I wave to everyone.

Hey Crar,
I just love to hear about women riding bikes. My hubby has a Ninja zx9. He wants me to ride with him. I need to loose at least 100lbs before I would even consider it. We used to ride ATCs (way back when) and dirt bikes in the desert, I really miss that!
Now that I am pre-op, I hope to get back to riding again.
I want a Atv for off road and I want a street bike.
I really want a Harley. My husband said he was ok with that.
I live in Los Angeles and you don't see sportbikes riding with Harley's. It just seems unacceptable, you would not think of bike riders in of all places, Los Angeles, as being so narrow minded!
My concern is do mixed marriages really work?
Enjoy your riding and good luck with the racing

I figured out why guys on crotch rockets don't wave. They're afraid they would fall on their faces if they let go of the handlebar.
I don't see how you guys can ride laying on your stomach with all your weight on you arms. I guess it's a preference thing. I'd rather be leaning back and cruisin'.

Topic: RE: I want a new bike!! Credit shot!!!
Check with Harley Davidson. My credit is pretty much in the can, but I was able to get a new '04 Sportster 883 for only $1000 down and financed it for 72 months. I took a hit on the interest rate, but it's a simple interest laon and by paying a little extra on the notes, I hope to pay it off in about 3 years. Payments and Insurance are only about $200/month!
