Topic: RE: Winter Sucks
Winter's over now! Let's ride! It's still a bit cool in the mornings and evenings, but who cares!
I've lost 105 lbs and my bike doesn't know how to act. It seems to have more get up and go than it did.

Topic: Looking for a riding buddy
I had my rny surgery on 1/9/04 and have lost 45 lbs. so far!! I can't wait to get on the bike without my huge thighs and heavy body. I recently moved to Algona Iowa and have no friends that ride motorcycles up here. Is there anyone out there who needs a riding buddy??

Hi Michelle, that is wonderful you guys have that opportunity. We also have bike day at our church here in Clarksville TN, First Church of The Nazarene. We had ours blessed last year for the first time. It's a wonderful celebration. Have fun!

Topic: RE: any Valkyrie riders out there?
Hubby and I bought a 2003 (the last year) Valkyrie in July of 03 and our first big trip was to Florida from Ohio. I hadn't been on a bike in almost 20 years. Our first day was a little over 500 miles and I was feeling pretty good.
We did a 600 mile day on the way home.
This year we're planning 2 trips to Florida one in May and one in September. I can't wait to get back out and ride again. Anyone else planning a trip this year? I would love to go up to Maine and shoot down the coastline to hit the lighthouses. That one might have to wait until retirement.

Topic: RE: Is this a bike page for "big" people?
I have a 98 Honda Shadow Aero and have been riding on two wheels for most of my life. Now that I have lost 108 lbs, my mileage is getting a lot better! I ride pretty much year round and love it. You just need to get his and hers bikes, that way you can get on your scoot whenever you want to! Good luck on getting your surgery done!
Topic: Is this a bike page for "big" people?
I linked to this page from WLS message boards. I love to ride, but I told my husband if we get any bigger- WE AIN'T Gonna FIT! lol
I will hopefully be having my surgery in late March. Cross my fingers!
My husband is toying with the idea.
I can't wait to get back on the bike after this lovely weather we've been having and hopefully I'll fit more comfortably.
Topic: Winter Sucks
I miss my bikes. Guess I'll go out to the shop and polish them up again. Of course I could move.
Cheers,
