not sure if this really works or not since I haven't had to use it yet but it seems pretty popular on some of the other support forums.
I went through the shake diet from March 16-30. I was worried about the same thing you are, but to my great surprise I found it wasn't so bad. This from a person who has (had) a very big appetite. I used to have the idea that I couldn't live on less than about 1800 calories a day, so learning that I could indeed live on 800 and still feel great was very liberating. I was very busy working long hours trying to get ready to leave work for a few weeks, and that really helped. By the second week there were days when I didn't drink the fourth shake until 8-9 pm and wondered if I even really needed it. (But I did drink it, because I'm following the rules to the letter on this whole process and I knew I needed that protein.) I would drink them at about 9am, 1 pm, and 5-6 pm, and usually split the fourth one in half as an afternoon/evening snack. I honestly felt great during the two weeks and had plenty of energy. I did have headaches the first few days which was probably caffeine withdrawal. But after those went away I felt better than usual on the shake diet - it made me realize how crappy eating sugar (which we all get more of than we realize I think) and just an excess of food in general actually makes you feel, even though it feels "normal".
Congratulations! Since mine was done on March 30 I haven't had one second of regret!
This looks like a great way to get back on track. Thanks very much for the idea, it is much appreciated.

You could try the "pouch test". I'm only 12 weeks postop so I haven't tried it yet but from what I understand it's a great tool to kick start weight loss.
I am new to this Forum and website. I had sleeve surgery in July 2014 with good results, and have lost a total of 55 lbs since, with about 30 more left to go. My weight loss now seems to have slowed to a crawl or stopped. I am getting lots of exercise (eg 40-60 minutes of brisk walking/day) so my guess is that I am taking in too many calories. Any suggestions on how to kick start my weight loss again?
Thanks Chris. ..I am scared and excited all at the same time! I will be counting on you guys for advise. Lol
