I had this dosage also. I guess I'm lucky that I never noticed any effects at all, other than feeling like I had more energy after a couple of weeks, which was probably just my imagination LOL.
About 3 weeks ago I posted to express my frustration over waiting so much longer than I was told for my surgery date, but now I finally have one. I will have the surgery on March 30 (in Bathurst with Dr. Savoie) and am to start the Boost diet on March 16. Since I always have to be worried about something LOL, now I'm wondering what the 14 days on Boost will be like and how much it will impact my ability to work, how I am going to deal with hunger, etc. Would love to have any advice on getting through the two weeks!
Hi, I am scheduled for surgery on March 30 in Bathurst and am to start my liquid diet on the 16th. I'm glad I found this thread because I have been worried about how I will make out on the diet and how it will feel to be at work, etc while being so hungry all the time. I would imagine it is very distracting. I would love to hear any advice people have about getting through it! I would love to follow how you are making out with it.
Wow that is scary but thankfully it had a good outcome - I'm glad to hear your concerns were taken seriously and treated aggressively. May I ask what they did about the tiny pinhole? Did they have to go back in laproscopically and fix it? (I am scheduled to have my surgery March 30.)
I feel your pain, I also went through this for several months. First I was told last summer that it would be "late fall", then at the end of October it was "sometime between now and February", and now I finally have a date of March 30. But all the while I was having a lot of anxiety over when and what to tell my employer. In the end I did not tell them until I finally had an actual date. Truly the most stressful thing about the entire process so far has been dealing with the uncertainly of when exactly I was going to have to be off work, not being able to give my employer any dates for hiring my replacement. I definitely understand why it has to be this way, but it doesn't make it any less stressful. I hope you get a date soon!

I'm just wondering how you are doing Ellie? I sent you a pm but you didn't answer. I was worried something might be going on. I hope you are doing well!
Wow Ellie, I am so sorry to hear that you have gone through this. I am so happy you are safe and sound and back feeling better. Sounds scary but you did everything you were supposed to. So glad to hear from you. I didnt want to intrude on you and was waiting...now I know why! All the very best.

Well folks what a wild ride I have been on...sleeved 18\02, the following monday night I started to have pain at top of stomach on the left side that radiated up into my shoulder and had a slight temperature. Went to local ER and was sent by ambulance back to Moncton because the "marker" (temp over the recommended level) was slightly above the 38.3 C. After blood work they discovered that my white cell count was up which indicated infection. So to make a long story even longer, I went back to Moncton and stayed there for the next 11 days on IV antibiotics which worked like a charm. They said that because I identified there was something wrong due to a rising temp they were able to act quickly and nip the infection in the bud. So after 11 days, 3 CT scans, an ultrasound and copious amounts of blood tests I am back at home and soooo relieved that they were so aggressive with my treatment. Apparently once the swelling started to come down there was a tiny pin hole that was causing all the problems. It was an easy fix but a long one. Why do I tell you all this??? Just to make sure that you have a thermometer on hand and remember Monique's advise about if you feel anything that feels like things are getting worse and not better ( I came home to taking tylenol for paid to taking a very strong prescription med that night because the pain had increased) seek medical help and if your temp is up get back to the clinic ASAP. I am feeling much better after this little bump in the road and I want to wish everyone well.
Hang tight my friend, you will get that call right out of the blue when you least expect it. YOU ARE IN MY THOUGHTS!!!
