Well, I made it through the surgery.  I am at home, watching TV with my husband.  I am very sore and throat hurts, but other than that I am ok.  According to what my surgeon told my husband everything went ok.  I had some lortab when I got home around 3 ish and have not had any since, trying not to take it unless I really really need it.  One of the incisions is a little bigger than I expected and more painful but that is it.  I am so happy to have all of your support and I will post as I can.  Thank you Annie for posting my progress.  You are my angel!!

Glad to see you are home and safe and sound.

My friend just had lap band. One of the cuts was at the top middle and it was bigger than the rest. She asked the doctor where her port was and he told her right where she is so sore at. I was surprised where he put the port. IT is right below her sternum. I was shocked due to CPR.

Unfortunately, I had to delete this post due to privacy concerns.

Got a lap band in 2008. Tried hard, but didn't lose much weight & developed swallowing problems. Fought my insurance company for almost a year & finally had a band to DS revision on 5/11/12. Have now lost 125 pounds. Yay!

Remember that you need to sip, sip, sip and walk, walk, walk. Both will help the healing and believe or not, you'll feel better.

Wishing you all the best,

Congratulations Mandy.... Now take care of yourself and listen to your doc and us... LOL
I wanted to sleep a lot when I had my surgery... And that lasted until Sunday, then I was good to go - didn't need the pain meds.  So sip and walk and then do it again...
