Christmas came early for me this year!
They have this giant Christmas tree of lights set up on the infield of the track that blinks in time with Christmas music coming from loud speakers. They also have a Santa village set up there where you can purchase crafts and food. I didn't really want to stop at this since it was raining but again he insisted. We walked thru the vendors and then he wanted to go see the giant Christmas tree of lights. When we got there, he gets down on one knee in the pouring rain and pulls out a ring box and asked me to marry him!! Of course, I said yes!! It was very romantic and sweet!!! I kind of figured I was going to get an engagement ring for Christmas but I had no idea he would propose like he did!!
I have put some pics on my profile if anyone would like to take a look!! I am a very happy and lucky girl right now!! Thanks for letting me share!!
P.S. We didn't get home until almost 2 a.m. this morning!!!! But it was worth it!!

(((Donna))),
Congratulations!!! What a wonderful way to enjoy the holiday. I know that you are thrilled, not only with the ring, but with the incredibly thoughtful proposal. I'll bet you'll never look at Christmas Lights again without thinking fondly of Scott's very special, thoughtful proposal.
Wishing you both every happiness,
Barbara

I was there also last night. We didn't stop at the Christmas Village because it was pouring down the rain. Now I wished I had, I might have seen you being proposed to.
The line was horrible. We got there at 7:30 and finished at 10:30. Of course the waiting was horrible. I live in Clyde, NC. It was like a 2 hour drive. What was really funny is there was a couple in front of us and they were also from Clyde.
Congratulations on the engagement!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
