field trip...McDonalds?
I'm only 6 weeks out from surgery and my surgeon wants me on 100% protein right now, so no salads... yet.
Tonight I went to a fancy dinner (Scottish Heritage Society's "Robert Burns Night"). The first course was the proverbial Scottish haggis with neeps and tatties. I took one tiny bite of the haggis for ceremony and gave the rest to my husband. The rest was a big salad, salmon, rice, green beans, rolls with butter, and chocolate cheese cake. I ate half the salmon and about 1/2 teaspoon of the cheesecake. The rest I gave away to my husband and mom. I feel very naughty about eating 1/2 teaspoon of cheesecake. That's the first "real" dessert I've had since Thanksgiving. I've really been a very, very good girl since surgery and plan to keep it that way. So, back to sugar-free popsicles!
