Paula,

Try contacting Angela with our support group on the meetup site. She really doesn't come on OH anymore, but if you send her an private message through the meetup site for my support group, she'll get it in her personal email. She lives in Durham and is likely to have a PCP that is knowledgeable.

Hi all,

I want to thank all my fellow vets from past to future for helping to maintain our freedoms.  Thank you all.

Today two huge prayer revivals are taking place.  One is at the Rose Bowl and the other in Detroit.  Expectations are high that great things are going to happen as a result of these and other events taking place.'

My hubby took off work and we are going to spend time in prayer at our church.  If any of you need prayer for anything, send me a message and I will add you to my list of things to pray about.

Have a great day all!

Hi Paula,

Dr. David Becker with Carolina Family Practice and Sports Medicine is my PCP. He has several bariatric patients that I know of. He has become more and more knowledgeable and seems always willing to learn about what we need. I've been pleased with the care and coordination of care I've received seeing him.

I was going to suggest that.  Your PCP, is he/she very knowledgeable about our issues?  I'm looking for one.

Hi all,

I am hard pressed to find a bariatric knowledgeable PCP in the area.  Any suggestions?

Hi Paula- Hope you find some walking buddies. It's always fun to walk with other people. I love it when my workout buddy some to the gym.

This morning we went to playgroup at Sonic. OMG it was hot this morning! LOL! I loved it. I think that might be one of our last warm days here in the east. I'm glad I spent it outside. This afternoon I have the gym, tomorrow I'm back at work. I feel so blessed to also have a job to go to!

I've been soooo tired, having headaches all of the time, feeling achy as though I had the flu, my hands and feet hurt, and my legs feel like they always wont to be on the move, to say that I'm fatigued is the understatement of the decade and I'm having much more problems with depression...  and now I know why. I went to my PCP with my laundry list of complaints and he ran very comprehensive labs. The long and the short of it is that my iron levels are off:

Serum Ferritin is low at 5,
% Saturation is low normal at 16,
Iron Binding Capacity is slightly high at 473
TIBC is okay at 78

I'm being scheduled for an iron infusion with my Hematologist that followed me for my Hemachromatosis. When I first broached having RNY we discussed that this was a possibilitly. I am hoping that an infusion will help me feel a little more like me again.

Hi all,

Work went well yesterday. So I will get paid for a day YIPPEE!  Any money coming in is a blessing. Today is a day of getting stuff done.  I have been lazy lazy lazy.  Even these little posts are getting lazy.  Surely I have more to say than one sentence.

Hey, any of you Durham/Raleigh folks need a wallking buddy?  I am thinking about hitting the Southpoint Mall and do some serious walking.  I signed up for the walking group but no one got back to me.  That's no excuse NOT to walk.  Anyway, let me know if anyone wants to do some "moving".

Hope you had a good day at work!

Did a little shopping today. Bought new workout pants. My other workout pants were nearly falling off. Walmart pants size 16-18. OMG ladies, OMG! I haven't seen a 1 in front of my pant size in 10+ years!

Also went to the sporting goods shop. Got some great info on hiking and paddling in NC. If anyone know of any easy trails or family trails please feels free to post. I'm new at this.
