Looking back, I don't think I would ever eat that now, but it was a treat to have after all of those protein shakes.
Once I hit the soft foods phase, I devoured french onion soup (sans the croutons).
Hey Gidget,
Congratulations on making it to the 'Loser's Bench!' I wish I had some recipes for your pureed food phase, but my program doesn't do that phase... We had to stay on clear fluids and protein drinks for the first 3 to 4 weeks, then goes directly to soft foods. If you try cross posting this to the RNY and Main forums you will likely get some good ideas.
I'm looking forward to seeing less of you soon!

Off you Winston-Salem to work today. Will have the dog walker come twice since my work days tend to be very long.
Have a good day all.
So I'm almost 2 weeks out from my RNY. I go tomorrow for my follow up and I'm quite sure I'm moving on to the pureed foods phase. Anyone with any delicious recipes? I've been feeling pretty good for the most part since my surgery. Today has been a not so good day. Think I may have overdone it yesterday for my birthday. Been in bed all day.
Well i'm sure I'll be better tomorrow but I just wanted to get some ideas for some yummy meals for this next phase.
Thanks.
DD's tubes surgery was yesterday. She's doing better today, but still not 100%. Her birthday party was last weekend as well. I feel a bit fried. I've gained some weight since last Sat and want to get back on track. Not going to let them take me down a long road of weight gain.
Today I have to get hubby packed to go to a funeral up in MD. I also need to reschedule a few appointments. I feel very frustrated today. I need to somehow get over this blue period. I do know this too shall pass.
I hope you all have a great day.
Made it through the weekend. Sunday was very busy with making meals to put in the freezer for the week. I had to be a little creative because we are down to nubs.
Today i****ting the books again and get through a level or two if I can. I need to make some calls. What is on your agenda??
It looks like a beautiful day out there today and my fever has FINALLY broken after a week of lying around so I'm going out of the house to do something, anything!

I get tired of going to the follow up groups but do it because I am supposed to. It is nice to share with other surgery candidates and post ops. I think you will find the process to be tough at times but it will not be due to the staff at Duke WLS. Use them as your resource for all questions and read, read, read... BTW I am 5 months post op and have had no issues. I was 270+ a my highest and 260 at surgery. I wore 46 pants and 2X shirts. I now wear 34 pants and can wear a medium shirt. I weigh 189 and continue to lose. I work out regularly and maintain a diet consistent with what Duke recommends. I have no regrets!!!! It was hard during the first 2 months but I just kept telling myself it will get better. This website is great and I belong to one on Facebook that is extremely positive and supportive. "Zan Perry" on FB, come join us! Best wishes. I didn't read all of Barbara C's post but she is a great resource in the community!!!
Did you set your clocks back last night? Hope so. Today is church and spending a wonderful day with hubby. Don't have anything special planned.
Have a great day all.
