Still sore from my fall especially my elbows. Went to the Chiro yesterday and that helped alot.
Today is ASL meetup and then, I will probably recycle.. no, do that first. Get hubby off to work. Then we shall see. Have to do some clean up around here. Switched my summer clothes to winter. Now it is supposed to hit 70 Monday and Tuesday. Don't you just love the south?
What are you up to?

Audra- Isn't it nice to know you don't have fixed plans on the weekend??

As for me... Oh gezzz. Can I start the day over again already? My step dad in TX is going in for emergency surgery this morning. They think his Jtube(?) feeding tube is not working right. Might be leaking air in his tummy. He's also had a hernia for years that they are going to go ahead and fix while they are in there. My DD's birthday is tomorrow. My mom was going to fly out today to come stay the weekend. She misses my little girl so much. She was crying on the phone because she can't come today.

I am so happy I started the walking circuit for the staff at work, I am now working out 5 days a week. I use the excuse that I do it for others so it makes me go. I swim three day and 2 days of the circuit. No change in my weight or energy level but at least I know I am doing what is healthy.
As for my energy level, it is always in the toilet. I am so tired allllll the time and there is no reason for it. Driving me crazy. I feel like I am eating right, exercising and sleeping enough, heck I am in bed by 830 most nights. Not sure what else I can do. All my labs are normal. Just very frustrating
Have a great weekend

That ad in the corner of the screen drives me nuts. Anyway, went to the open house but fell flat on my face first, literally. Had to have their nurse patch me up. Only stayed an hour then came home. Now I am very sore. I am lucky nothing broke.
Today, I am having breakfast with a deaf friend and looking forward to it. Then I need to hit the books. Tonight I observe a tasting. Trying a new business venture. We shall see.
What are you up to?

I'm excited my mom is coming out tomorrow for a short visit! Plus, DD's birthday part (and birthday) is on Sat. I can't believe it's been two years.

Today is the open house at Schwarz. I think that is spelled right. I am planning on heading out about 1pm. It starts at 10am but I'm not sure I want to stay the whole day. Anyway, it will get me out of the house for awhile.
Finished off Level 8 yesterday. Just 10 more to go, yikes! At least I got the extension so I do have a little breathing room.
So, what are you up to today?
How can I find the virtual support group? I would like to join in!
Hi Kim,
I'm so very sorry that you are struggling right now. What the insurance companies will accept seems to vary somewhat from one company to another and though it is distressing to hit this bump in the road, it definitely is manageable. Generally speaking the insurance companies often accept appointments with an RD as part of a documented dietary program because they are medical professionals, but it can vary. If they don't accept it, you can find out what they do need and make that happen. Hang in there.
Re: the nay-sayers. Only you can know if this is something that you want to do and if you think it will be a good thing for you. I hope and pray that it does relieve and help manage the intercranial pressure issues that you are having, but it is also likely to also help you manage so many other issues. Generally, when our friends and family make critical comments it is coming from a place of fear and ignorance. I had similar issues with my my mother and sister. One of the ways that I handled it was to allow my mother to come with me to ask any questions she wanted of my healthcare team. It went a long way towards helping her to know more and be more supportive. I don't know if that might help your cir****tance or not. While Drs in general are very knowledgeable, they too can have their own bias' about many issues including WLS; it is very possible that your father's Dr was his own personal bias to influence what he had to say to your father.
Please feel free to reach out if you need/want any additional support and remember that you are welcome to attend any of the support group meetings that I host.
See you again soon,
