Hi,

It is good that you recognize that these pretty and sweet things are trigger foods.  One thing I can suggest is eat before you go.  That way you won't be as hungry and hopefully, not hungry at all.  That way you can't use that as a reason to eat them.  Also, maybe one of your friends can give you support and steer you away from those yummy tables.

Clueless about weight loss and weight loss surgery of any kind.

Well it is good to see OH up and running.  I was beginning to get concerned.  Today recycling and bill paying.  I got an extension on my course so I am going to have to hit the books hard over the next few months.

I am not taking the job.  I am going to let VR help put me in a job I can do without harm.  In the meantime, I will continue with Hallmark.

What are you up to?

I've having problems at parties. I really tend to over eat when given the opportunity at holiday parties. I went to a Halloween party last night. I don't like the way I ate. It was like I had no control. In all reality I know I need to stay away from the food table, and eat a snack before I go. Other than that what can I tell myself? I saw a pretty decorated spread of cupcakes, cookies, pizza... I couldn't seem to stop myself.

Thank you for any advice or tips you might have.

I am dressing up for the Monster Dash.  Hopefully there will be pictures! lol  I'm going as a bumblebee.  This time last year I couldn't have run to the end of the driveway!  The changes have been absolutely amazing!

You've got to post a pic here if you get one! You are such a inspiration to us!!!

Today was another busy day!  Got up early for a 2 mile run.  Getting geared up to run the Monster Dash in Raleigh this coming Sunday...fun, fun!

And today is my surgiversary so there are lots of feelings coming up remembering where I was this time last year...of course at this time of day I was on the pain pump!! lol
Are you dressing up for the run?? LOL!

We are having a Monster Dash run here as well. I wish I wasn't working during that time. I would do the 1 mile Fun Run. I did my first one of those a couple weeks ago and really liked it!!

It's shocking how much a person can change in a year, isn't it??

So far today has been great! It was so nice out this morning I forced DD and I in the car for a last minute park workout. There's a little rest area at the park. I got some healthy foods, put down a blanket, had a little picnic while she ate and played in the sand. It was so peaceful. After that I got the stroller and got in a solid 30 minute walk. I guess people don't think the weather is nice because I had the park to myself for 2 hours!

I'm off to the gym here shortly then a Halloween festival at church. Feeling so blessed today.

I am so excited this week. I have started a walking circuit group here at work. I will be leading it on Tues, and Thurs. I was so suprised by the over whelming number of people interested in this program. I felt it was a good idea for stress relief and over all well-being of the staff. Thank God the super intendent agreed.
Not only will I be helping the staff but it will add an hour twice a week to my workout schedule.
On a not so exciting front, I have gained 6 pounds this last month with no changes in my diet or exercise. I am wondering if this is the "bounce back " they talk about. Either way it is freaking me out!!!!!!!.

Hope you all have a great week

Sorry about the weight gain. Anything over 5lbs and i freak out as well.

Congratz on your new workout class at work! Isn't it amazing how much a person can change over time? A couple weeks ago I walked a 1 mile Fun Run on a Saturday. I think back to my past and the thought of that would have been out of the question.
