Last night was a great success. Sold some wine for charity and may get a few bookings from it. Yesterday was a difficult day but got through it. Today, is meetup and I have to finish level 10. I need to do one per week. Went to Allied Barton job fair yesterday. May have a second interview so hopefully, I can get some part time work.
What are you up to?
Glad to hear you are doing well so far... my swelling has gone down enough where I can button my pants... so happy about that... still have a ways to go... my incisions are a little red and irritated in spots but I have been covering w/ bandaids which helps... I also started sleeping in yoga pants instead of elasic wasted jammie pants.
So weird to look down and see flatness... I went and tried on a few things last night and when I look in the mirror it doesnt seem like me... I can wear skirts now and dresses and not worry about my legs (as much) or my stomach. I am still holding off from buying new things until another month or so passes so more of the swelling is gone.
Its weird to be more 'normal', when I had WLS I was scared I wouldnt lose weight, lost it, then was scared I wouldnt keep it off, kept it off then was sad Id never be able to have PS, got some PS now looking forward to more!! hah.

This morning I am off to Raleigh to a job fair. It's for a security company so we shall see. My availability probably won't be to their liking, oh well. Tonight is my first gig. I will have helpers with me. I hope I can book some tastings. I want to get this business up and running.
So, I have a busy day ahead. Yesterday I had a bad incident with my puter. This new software I got which is supposed to help speed up the puter erased all my passwords. I am soo upset. Then my printer needed a new cartridge so I got one and it didn't work so I had to take it back for a replacement. Glad today is another day.
How is your day?
Jennifer ~
I'm home! I had my surgery last Friday, so I'm almost one week post-op, and doing really well. I had a small set back earlier this week when some of the sutures under my right underarm opened up and the doctor had to re-suture them in the office.....NOT FUN AT ALL!!! But....I got through it and am continuing to improve everyday.
I cannot believe the change in my body, and the doctor told me that he removed 16 pounds of excess skin from me!! He says that I'll probably be about 2 sizes smaller now, which would make me a size.....wait for it!......TEN!!! I have NEVER been a size ten as an adult ~ it truly is incredible, since I was a size 5XL before my RNY 3 years ago.
You helped me so much last week, and I wanted to thank you again for posting when you did. I kind of believe in "signs", and last week you posted on what would have been my mother's birthday, who died on Christmas Day last year, and I was truly looking for "some kind of something" from her to let me know I was making the right decision. And there it was! Your post! I hope that doesn't sound too weird, but it really gave me a lot of comfort, so thanks again.
Hope that week 4 for you is going great, and congrats on your new "you"!!!
Betsy
I really wanted to wish you all a Merry Christmas & Happy New Year.

MrsLloyd,
I would absolutely do it again. I've lost about 130 lbs and been able to keep it off and my health issues that propelled towards making this decision have all resolved. I had a complication during surgery that was managed during surgery and hasn't impacted me negatively at all. I also have had a post op complication that was due to my own stupidity; my iron levels were stable for more than 2 years then started dropping. When we traced back, I realized that about 2 years ago I started donating blood to the Red Cross. It never occurred to me that the donations were connected to my dropping serum ferritin levels. I had an iron infusion a couple of weeks ago and will see my hematologist again in February to see if I need another infusion or if that did the trick . Of course, I won't be donating anymore; I'll just have to find other ways to support the Red Cross ;-). I personally am not a big fan of protein shakes, so I only used them for a few weeks post op and weaned myself off of them as soon as possible. Now I get my protein through the foods I eat and don't have any problem getting in 80 to 100 grams of protein a day.
You are most welcome to read my profile blog and ask me any questions you might have.
Wishing you all the best,

My only complaint is I am still tired alllll the time. Not sure if it's my schedule or something else. I have my 2 year apt Dec22 so I will ask the surgeon.
Looking forward to the Christmas holiday, I get to spend time with my sister and family!!!!!
Hope everyone has a great end to the 2011 year

Can you believe this weather?? Today I need to brush up on the 20 minute presentation I will be doing tomorrow at my first official wine tasting. Yikes! Hope it will be fruitful. At least we will get the word out about the charity we support.
Did some more excel homework. I think I would like to know it better. Sounds to me like it is a great tool. Frustrating, but great. I will do more today.
What's on your agenda?
(((Candice)))
Good to see you. Hope all is well.
