Topic: RE: Protein Bar for 5K suggestion needed
I like a few..

Balance Bar ~ Carb Well
Think Thin bars
Pure Protein bars
Supreme Protein Carb Conscious bars

The only problem with some (most of the low carb ones) is the sugar alcohols... the think thin ones come in small bars like bites I get them at trader joe's in a box..

Good luck at your 5k in Morristown, I am doing the Turkey Trot in Sparta so I don't have to drive to Morristown on a non weekday.

Thanks,
Stella

I did not use that doctor but I did have RNY on 2/17/10-  my pre op weight was 278, I'm 5 ft 6 and I now weigh 165lbs and am still loosing.  Would be happy to answer any questions for you.  I have not had any real complications and tolerate food well post op.

They arrived today! Thanks, I tried one and wasn't that crazy about it but will try more of them as I have found most chewable calcium requires patience in learning to tolerate!

Hello,
What surgery did you actually have?  Did you have any complications?  I will be getting my surgical date hopefully in the beginning of December.  I wonder how long it will take me?  Well anyway, I am happy that you are doing well and if I have any questions, I hope I can ask people like you who have already had their surgery.  Good Luck and many prayers!

Topic: Has anyone had surgery from Dr. Earl Noyan out of Centra State?

Hello,
I am new to the WLS world.  I am very excited to have it.  I have chosen the RNY gastric bypass. Both my medical doctor and Dr. Noyan concur that this is the procedure for me since I am 5'3 and weighing in at a staggering 288 pounds.  I have chosen Dr. Noyan that operates out of Centra State and Robert Wood Johnson-Hamilton. I am eager to find out who has gone to Dr. Noyan and what their experiences were/are.   Can anyone give me any helpful hints or words of advise?  I have so many questions that I cant seem to think of them now.  If anyone can give me any comments I am sure they will be much appreciated!!  Please give a new gal a hand!

I don't know if this information will help, but I think Aetna has changed about weightoss surgery.  I had to jump through a few hoops, but they got it done, recently.  You can always give them a call and see what kind of coverage your job has.

Hey Gina!

I would love to join you one of these days. But I guess today isn't the one. My son has hockey tryouts and I've gotta chauffeur him there and back.

Sorry. Hope you guys have fun! I miss you!
