I did it!
And I'm right there with you with that sabotage. LOL I don't know why passing milestones is just so hard for some of us.
Also grats on climbing right back on the horse after your Easter slippage.
Don't listen to those darn statistics either! They can't put food in our mouths; only we can do that. So let's choose not to be a "statistic." :-)
Good luck with the upcoming gallbladder surgery...great blood pressure and pulse for your pre-op. on 4/11/07 2:08 pm - Great Neck, NY
CONGRATULATIONS - WAY TO GO Thanks everyone. You all are so sweet. For people who want to know how I lost the weight here is a brief idea of my eating and exercising. First and foremost is exercise for me. I bought myself a bike and a good pair of shoes. When I first started I could only walk about 10 minutes. Now I walk 30 minutes daily and twice daily about 5x per week. I do some weight training here at home but I need to do more. I ride my bike for 30 minutes about 3x a week. As far as food is concerned. I always eat breakfast. Weight control oatmeal or Total or Kashi. I eat 4 -5 times a day. I have a schedule but I flex it. If I am feeling really hungry I will get some veggies or a piece of fruit. I eat a lot of chicken, fish, non-fat yogurt, milk and cottage cheese. I have salad for dinner most nights. Sugar free fudgesicle or sugar free jello for a treat. Pretzels for salty and crunchy. I do stay away from white rice, pasta and bread. I took all my knowledge of all the diets I have tried over the years and tweaked it to be something I can handle. I don't go low carb crazy and avoid apples and stuff because of the carbs. If I'm eating fruit I'm doing well. Lots of fresh veggies and fruit and lean protein. I did develop gallstones and I am losing hair but it is all worth it. I still need to lose another 50-70 pounds so the journey continues.
You are doing so awesome!!!!!! Definitely gives me inspiration! Keep on doing what you been doing! One day at a time sweetie, thats all you can ask for one day at a time......good luck with the surgery I think everything will be ok......just stay away from the fatty foods for a while....I learned my lesson the hard way.....
One bit of advice though....I've had two gynecologists tell me this that all women should do this.....please take prenatal vitamins they are the best in the world even if you aren't having a baby and you would be amazed at what they can do for you, especially the hair....that might be a symptom of a little malnurishment...
You should definitely be proud of yourself....If I were you I'd be doing a happy dance!!!
105 lbs... WOW.. I can't wait to be like you! Hell I don't even care if I lose all my hair! It's been falling out since I was like 18 anyway. Besides I hear bald men are sexy, just not fat bald men! hahah. You're doing wonderful and I don't know how you stick to the foods you eat. It's really really hard for me to change my foods but I'm doing it, little bit by little bit. You are an inspiration. 105 lbs.. Nice.. I hope to be there with you there in a years time! on 4/14/07 11:37 am, edited 4/14/07 11:38 am
I'm so impressed and I hope to follow in your footsteps. I too find those milestones so difficult - even if I'm doing well, there always seems to be a annoying plateau right before a milestone.
I have learned that we have to allow ourselves to be normal and cheat sometimes - within moderation and not to beat ourselves over it - it's just part of being normal. Instead, just jump back on the wagon as soon as possible and continue the good work.
