Glad to have good things to report! My belly pain is still pretty annoying but with the exception of getting up and down, I can work around it now. Some of it's actually from the contact dermatitis I got from the surgical tape-- my skin has turned all alligatory and puckered and tears when I move, so I slathered myself in neosporin and feel a bit better. SigOt brought groceries and we spent an hour or two making all manner of pureed foods in the Magic Bullet so that when I finally get to eat them Tuesday, I am ready. I did taste the tiny bit that hit my fingers, and lemee tell ya-- I am soooo ready. Been 25 days since I last chewed. And the scale-- eet ees finally MOVINK! Down to 297.6--- officially under 300 and my BMI is under 50. Took long enough! Hopefully I will be able to sleep in my bed soon. Other than that, all's well...bean broth for dinner--- es muy yummy! We went to the pool today-- I didn't bounce around as I like to, but did get in some movement for about an hour.

I'm sure you can feel it too! Congrats on being below 300! You are just moving right along. Today the pool....Tomorrow the bed.....

Good job girl. I'm glad things are starting to get easier for you; you need the break. Glad you could get into the pool; I bet that was relaxing. Keep it up. You're doing great.

Hi Shari, I've been busy plus not feeling very well this weekend so I didn't check-in. So happy that the first post I read today is about you feeling better and doing better. You are definitely on the mend now. YIPPPEEE!!!

Was your surgery done laproscopically?.. Where did you have surgical tape placed at? Is this for skin healing or to hold tubes, etc in place?

It was done lap, but there's a LOT of seeping and leakage from the site where the drain is/was, which they cover with a pile of gauze and tape into place. The tape they initially used made this horrible red welt/ rash strip--- musta been that blasted paper tape (silk tape doesn't do that to me so much.) I was also allergic to the morphine, which made me extremely itchy-- Benadryl helped both. Tomorrow, an egg. 25 days since I last chewed somehing--- wish me luck!
